pros: buffet breakfast; big bathrooms; spacious rooms; comfortable beds; great service cons: the rooms are a bit stuffy, so i would often wake up in the middle of the night feeling really hot, but the ac wouldn't work. thankfully, they had windows overall a nice hotel, quick walk from the vatican and lots of places to shop close by. a... Spent 4 nights in this hotel. As others mentioned already, it is indeed quite old, which can look charming on the photos, but in reality it is just old and maybe even a bit creepy with all the fabric covered walls... The sausage and eggs saved the breakfast, but they ran out of the sausage the last morning, which is... More

Very convenient location, close to the Vatican, good breakfast but no restaurant so had to eat out, which suited us anyway ( the nearby sister hotel has a restaurant and a lovely roof terrace with beautiful views over the city ) our room was fine but it was rather noisy, from the street below, which continued until quite late into... We booked through Expedia a Triple room for three friends. We contacted the hotel directly to confirm three single beds & the response was prompt and friendly. We also added the complimentary airport pick up shuttle. The airport was chaotic but we had clear instructions on where to meet our driver. Upon not finding him, we called the number provided... Very friendly place to stay. Rooms were comfortable. We were on the fourth floor, one thing to note though the streets can be very noisy and it is very difficult to block the noise out. The lifts are very small, even with three of us and our luggage, we just about fitted in with a very tight squeeze.

Awful hotel certainly not 4 star. Room dark, small and dingy and in desperate need of upgrading and shower was broken power points hanging off the wall. We complained after one night and got sent to the sister hotel around the corner called Atlante Garden. This hotel was still very disappointing but the room was better and had been upgraded.... The hotel was oozing with Italian charm and elegance. All the staff were professional and efficient. We started each day with a substantial breakfast before sightseeing. The location of the hotel meant access to many historic Italian landmarks the closest only a 10 minute walk was the Vatican. The rooftop terrace was a great place to get a good view... More

Stayed at this hotel 3 nights from 15th Oct in Quadruple room. Official rating is 4 stars and on one hand I would say that is about right, however it does have some issues - certainly the room we were in. For - excellent location, friendly staff, adequate breakfast (setting you up for the day ahead), comfy beds (large double,... More

Absolutely outstanding service and attention to detail, this was a perfect location! Love the elegant feel of the hotel, the very comfortable beds, and the fantastic service from the front desk, the shuttle and the breakfast service. Also loved the availability of the breakfast room with the view just a block away, and the lovely roof top garden there. It... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
