Hotels like this can no longer rely on their past glory and reputation. For the business traveller, well-placed sockets for charging laptops, phones etc are critical as are decent lighting and an appropriate chair/desk combination in the room. It was also one of the few places I have visited recently where I felt that I was looked down upon by...

Rooms and meeting rooms are unique with lost of character. Room size is great. Has safe but no iron or kettle/coffee machine. Room service menu is quite good. Hotel is next to a park. It is about 20-25min walk from historical sites. Wifi is not free but works well. Staff is very attentive and accommodating.

The location is reasonable, a little bit out of the way if you are walking of the main attractions. Whilst some of the most expensive rooms have been refurbished, some are still dated and tired. Expensive for what it is.

In a large foreign city, your hotel priorities usually include safety, quality, price and location-convenience. Rome's Westin does very well with all of those features except perhaps price, depending on your budget and the season. We selected the Westin for our trip over others that had most of the features because of its superior location. In sits on one of...

Dear TripAdvisor Thank you for your review Happy to read you liked the location of the hotel. I am confused about your comments on the traffic “restrictions” When you are driving in Rome be sure to look out for the electronic signs that say "Varco Attivo" - this means that parts of the center are off limits and only residents...

Beautiful, classic hotel. Room was very nice and bed was extremely comfortable. Location was great, very convenient! Several attractions and many great restaurants are within easy walking distance. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was excellent!

Centrally located, personalized feeling service, definitely a go back. One oddity is no bedside plugs for electronics but adequate plugs at the desk. Concierge very helpful. Walkable to Borghese, flat all the way. Hop-on-hop-off busses a short walk down hill, Roma Termini a 20 minute walk, some up hill. Ookla wifi test was Test Date: Mar 7, 2017 9:30 PM...

Upon checking in, you feel like you are stepping back into time through the golden revolving door onto the marbled floors. The incredible architecture and artfully placed magnificent antiques that fill the regal sitting room all reflected in the numerous chandeliers and mirrored walls. It was Paolo Piel that so graciously greeted us and having compassion for the having been...

I stayed at the Westin and it is located in a great location on Via Veneto close to all great hotspots. When I arrived late at night the hotel reception were not on the ball - I carried my bag to my room and no offer to do so. The room was very nice but in need of some modernisation-little...

We have recently returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel and it was amazing, a truly lovely hotel, with so much history. We were blissfully upgraded to a beautiful 700 sq foot suite. The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing, that included a juicer with a huge assortment of veggies to select from. It was the perfect way to start the day. Even in a large hotel in the city center, the staff still took the time to remember your name and greet...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
