I was in the Starhotels Metropole for 2 nights and it was a pleasant stay. The breakfast was good also. There's nothing to complain about, other than the very simple misunderstanding during check-in, which was solved immediately and professionally. I would surely recommend this hotel and would stay here again with pleasure.

The hotel itself is very well located (near the train station of Rome termini) and it is properly maintained. The interior and the rooM is of a 4 stars with all the eminities. Breakfast is, I would say, below average for so many stars and I would expected better selection and quality. Very negative point: extremely poor wifi connection and...

I picked this hotel because it was 3 blocks away from Rome Terminal. This hotel posits itself in the center of Rome. Its service excelled. An economical Chinese restaurant awaits about 1 block away. The nearby Rome Terminal offers all a traveler's need to survive this beautiful city.

I chose a standard room, and the quality/price ratio was excellent. It is a big hotel. Very convenient for Termini Station but also for walking to Piazza Venezia, Quirinale, Via Nazionale and surrounding areas. My room was recently renovated, clean, and had everything one would need. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Personnel was extremely friendly and helpful. I would...

Our family stayed at the Starhotels and found that this hotel was above expectations for staying in Rome so near to the centre and the main railway station. If you are reasonably fit you can walk everywhere. From the hotel it was also an easy bus ride to St Peter's and the Vatican. The room was amazingly quiet for Rome...

Very nice hotel with friendly staff , pretty interior and loads of facilities. We've also been to the hotel opposite to this one (Diana) which is also a 4 start hotel but it was very bad compared to this one. The prices are fair in my opinion and it's literally 5 min away from the Termini station , app. 20...

Convenient location five mins walk from Termini which is the main rail station. The staff were nice and helpful. The breakfast was alright, it had standard but not amazing food. The room was too warm and the air circulation wasn't great but we still got a quiet night of sleep.

We arrived on a wet day with many bags, having walked 5 mins from the train station. The lovely receptionist Giorgia was very kind and upgraded us to a suite (room 807). So spacious and plenty of room for three people and our luggage. Bath, separate shower , safe, big cupboards and very clean. The beds and pillows were plush...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
