A well positioned hotel close to Termini Railway Station. My reason for staying here was so that I was close to the station arriving from Tuscany on the Frecciarossa and leaving on the Leonardo Express to Fiumicino Airport. I have mixed feelings about this place. It’s position, price, breakfast and staff are all fine. It was the location of my... More

Staff was not that courteous, no smiles, hardly a welcome and sort of threw the key across the table to my husband. Room was ok, but too warm, the air conditioning didn't work. The bathroom is spacious, and good. No kettle, no fridge. Breakfast was the worst part of this hotel. Hardly anything good to go by, very basic. They... More

We stayed in Hotel Kennedy twice over the past 5 weeks and found it to be a pleasant hotel with extremely helpful staff. We stayed on the 5th floor which was quiet and quite like home. Would have liked a jug in the room, but as the breakfast was adequate then not too necessary. The room size ok and the... More

Stayed at this hotel recently for 3 nights. Only positive was that it was close to termini station. Staff quite rude and unhelpful, room very average, no fridge or kettle bed very uncomfortable. Breakfast appalling worst we had in Europe. Do not stay here, Lyn c

Stayed here with my husband and 2 small children, it was our favourite hotel room on our European vacation. Quite spacious & clean. From memory 1.5km walk to colosseum. Easy few minute walk to train station (Termini). Staff friendly, coffee at breakfast amazing! The only thing missing was a bar fridge!

Hotel Kennedy in Roma is conveniently situated only 100 mtrs from the railway station. However, it's proximity to the station does not mean there is a noise problem. As a solo female traveller, I chose the Kennedy for just that reason. I had already been in Rome for 5 days, staying just opposite the Vatican, but stayed at the Kennedy... More

The bed was very hard terribly simple breakfast. Good coffee tinned fruit. The location wasn't great the area felt dirty with a lot more beggars and gypsys around. We had to take many taxis to see the tourist stuff. The reception guys were helpful in calling to confirm our tours so that was good. If you want luxury this isn't... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, and while the location was good to get to the Termini, the area itself was a bit rough. There are lots of places to eat just across the road, although if sitting outside be prepared to rebuff the numerous peddlers that come past every 5 minutes interrupting your conversation and meal waving selfie sticks,... Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
