The rooms were clean but small. The breakfast was average. The manager was welcoming and helpful. Excellent location as the hotel is close to metro and train station. The lift is extremely small. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

The hotel was comfortable and neat. It had all the facilities that we wanted. It was only a short walk to Termini station which enabled you to get to all the attractions easily. The breakfast was nice enough. We got bumped out the hotel and had to stay at one of their sister hotels the first night but they carried...

Excellent location, walking distance from main railway station/Roma Termini, overall good family property, average breakfast, rooms are good for a comfortable stay, courteous staff, main tourist attractions are at a walk-able distance. Shopping centers and eating joints are all around as this a city center. Enjoy the stay

On first arriving the lobby looked well presented. The room was a little shabby but wasn't to concerned about that, it was quite minor details, one light didn't work, shower curtain a bit tatty, dated i'd say. We asked about the safe in our room only to be told it didn't work. The day before we left I decided to...

The walk from Termini was a little daunting as the map took us through the lower end of the street and we felt quite uneasy. However hotel entrance was pleasant and cool with a friendly reception from staff. Room 403 was clean though only two working plug sockets (one damaged and hanging off the wall). Bathroom was dated with unsightly...

We enjoy the stay in this hotel very much - in the center, near by metro-station, clean, everyone nice and helpful, breakfast very tasty. The only "mistake" was a cold water...But we welcomed the nice approach for our requet for early breakfast. We recommend stay in this hotel.

We arrived at the hotel, the entrance looked well presentable - but no sooner had we tried checking in, we was sent to the hotel next door 'Hotel Montreal' The receptionist made out the two hotels were the same, but they're not! We complained & d'esta hotel promised us a room the following evening - their excuse was "leaks in...

Cozy and clean hotel near Santa Maria Maggiore, with heating and large room, with no bad breakfast and helpful receptionists. 40 euros for a double room with breakfast in February in Rome is very well. Convenient to station Termini and metro,15 minutes walk from the Coliseum.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
