The minuses: - too hot in the room. No way to control the AC. Ir no AC. - no fridge. Not even a bar - the walls are scratched - the wardrope is smelling and no drawers or shelves in it to put your t-shirts or underware. - only one pair of slipers for two guests - the cold water... More

We really loved this hotel - fantastic location 7min walk to Termini and 2min around to nearest metro. Large room which was perfect for two adults and one child - the best bed on our whole trip! But the best bit was the breakfasts which were amazing! Also appreciated the friendly service and the late afternoon snacks in the downstairs... More

We loved this hotel. It was the second time we stayed here. Close enough that you can drag your bags from the main train station but not for people out of shape. Close to the Metro and a really nice sized room for Europe standards. The lift is very old and the tiniest I have ever been in. Two people... More

Hotel Canada is a charming, elegant and comfortable boutique-style hotel, which is also a great value! We were on a 3 wk. Euro trip, arriving in Rome during 2nd week of June w/husband and two adult daughters. We had reserved two rooms, each with 2 double beds (requesting close proximity) for three days. After a short 10min.walk from the train... More

After 8 weeks travelling, we caught a train from Sorrento to Rome. We wanted somewhere close to the station and safe. This Hotel was our choice and it was perfect. The staff were very welcoming, our room was very comfortable. The breakfast included some local delicacies. It is away from the major tourist areas, but this was an advantage to... More

Since we were arriving by train we wanted something close to Termini. We saw this hotel online and it had decent reviews. Being from Canada it seemed odd, but not terribly so, to stay at a hotel with this name. Not overly friendly, but very courteous front desk staff. They upgraded us to a corner suite so the room had... More

Excellent hotel, in good location, only 30mins walk to Trevi and to the Spanish steps, metro literally around the corner, so all the sights are easily accessible from the hotel. Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous large room, 428, clean, lovely comfy bed, large spotless bathroom. Coffee making facilities in room, which doesn't say on website, but... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

In an elegant period palazzo in the centre of Rome, the BEST WESTERN Hotel Canada represents the fruit of the experience of generations of hoteliers and a tradition of hospitality that renews itself every day.
