5 mins walk from metro! lots of restaurants and bars around! Perfect location! Hotel was clean, breakfast was simple but nice. The room was just slightly small but it was OK! the only negative thing I have to say is the room was extremely hot and the air con wouldn't work. The hotel staff were extremely helpful! wifi in rooms!...

Dear Ms. Sarah, thank you for your positive review. The note has taken action to ensure the proper functioning of air conditioning in the rooms, thanks to your report, now there should be no further problems. Regarding the reception for the disabled, the hotel is not particularly suitable, being a historic building in the center of Rome. For this reason...

Cheap, renovated(looks exactly like the photos), double room is big for Europe, great breakfast, smart area(5 star hotels everywhere), walking distance to sites, helpful concierge, and quiet. Much better than 3 stars and at 70 usd a night probably your best value.

We stayed 4 nights at Caprice hotel and except from the lovely renovated rooms (although very small), we didn't enjoy our stay! over The location is not convenient at all!!! if you want to reach the city center to Trevi or Piazza Spania, it takes 20 minutes and the way back is a long incline - we had to take...

Stayed at the Hotel Caprice for 4 nights end of September 2011. Found the hotel via Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. Recently refurbished and clean rooms, staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Very close to all the sights in Rome and free Wifi. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Rome and wanting to...

close to the center, to the metro (barberini), easy to arrive from and to the FCO airport by train. when we arrived, the reception looked really old, but the room was very nice looking, new and clean (but it's also very small). I liked the bathroom (it has no bath, only a shower - but very convenient one). the towels...

We got a deal and paid 100 Euro / night. The location was good - within 10 minute walk to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. A strip club is next door (you would never know though), but unfortunately we did not see any of the girls. The reception is dank and outdated, but the rooms were very nice with a...

I was very happy with our stay at the Caprice. The rooms were clean, small but liveable. The bathroom was nornal, the shower was great. The best thing about the hotel is that it is off the main street of Via Veneto, so it is quiet. The main street has many hotels and restuarants and too many people. It was...

I stayed in the hotel for 4 days in the beginning of July 2011 & I never regret it. The stuff was friendly, breakfast was just what I wanted & the location was ideal. As it was said many times here, there's no need to be worry about the club next door as the hotel is very quiet. My room...

Spent a long weekend at this hotel and I highly recommend it. Location is excellent, just off Via Veneto and walking distance to Piazza di Spaga, Fonatana di Trevi, etc. Barberini metro station also down the road. The entrance to the hotel is a little underwhelming however the rooms are very modern, spacious clean and quiet. Staff very friendly too....

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
