Staff were very attentive and accommodating, especially during all the COVID restrictions. It was a pleasure to stay at Pineta Palace Roma. Good Wi-Fi and breakfast was especially good. A bit far from Rome center but well served by taxis.

I booked Hotel Pineta Palace as part of a three night surprise trip to Rome for my partner and I. As a rule, we choose to look beyond the negative reviews on sites such as these however, on this occasion the majority were very true for our experience. I would like to begin with the positives. Upon arrival, the Economy room I had booked was instantly upgraded to a Comfy room the receptionist, a friendly gentleman explained had been recently refurbished, at no extra cost. The room, on the fifth floor, was clean and cleaned thoroughly daily, spacious and had all the amenities i.e. a working shower/bathroom, kettle, wardrobe and safe, that we would need for a pleasant stay. The evening menu looked to have a great variety and sounded rather tasty however, we chose to dine in the city centre each night to truly experience Rome. All members of staff we met were friendly and welcoming, and very helpful especially given the situation experienced in Italy at the time of our travel. However, the positives of this hotel are very nearly outweighed by a couple very crucial negatives. The bed, albeit very large was simply unsleepable, and the pillows were solid. My partner and I found ourselves waking up mornings with aching backs, legs and necks and almost looking forward to morning so that we could get out of bed. After a long day wandering through Rome with legs that are probably already aching, this is most certainly not what you would want. Further, we chose to ignore the reviews regarding the distance between the hotel and the nearest metro station as we would normally not mind a long walk in the sunshine. However, the hotel is a half an hour walk from the nearest station, Battistini and all uphill on the return which after a long day in Rome, feels almost impossible. Taxi's are available from outside the station costing around €5/€6 however, we found ourselves waiting around half an hour for one to arrive. We only had breakfast on the final day of our stay, but only as we are not big breakfast eaters. The breakfast table is laid up with a great variety of pastries, ham and cheese's, pancakes and cereal, all very tasty, and costing €3 per person for as much as you would like. However, for a further €7 each, the kitchen provides a plate of scrambled egg and a few rashers of bacon which I must say, was not nearly worth the money and quite frankly, not very nice to taste either. I would be reluctant to stay at Hotel Pineta Palace again mostly due to the uncomfiness of the bed. The service and cleanliness of the hotel and its staff are a real credit however, it was a shame to struggle to do let's be honest, the only thing you really book a hotel for.

Was not very pleased with our stay here. It’s not in what I would refer to as a nice residential area. Nothing is close. You have to walk about 1/4 mile to get to a bus stop to catch a bus that doesn’t pass very often to get to the train station. Rather complicated We were here in February when it’s cold and our room was a blistering inferno. The sun shined in and heated the room up to over 80 degrees. When we called to ask how to turn the air conditioning on we were told both the heat and air at off this time of year. We slept with the sliding door totally open the three nights we were here and it never really got that cold. It was in the 40’s and 50’s every night and our room was still hot !!! Bed wasn’t very comfortable nor were the pillows. Shower was the dumbest design I’ve ever seen as was the sink where there was zero space to set anything. Glad we were completely exhausted after walking around rome all day every day or we probably would’ve been more miserable The breakfast was just ok...nothing fabulous

tayed here 13th-15th feb 2020. Check in- staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Good for local knowledge of buses and transport links or ordering taxi’s ect! So the hotel, our room was fab, clean, looked recently refurbished, balcony, comfy and quiet! (6th floor room, ) close to lifts... no complaints at all. Sky TV with some English channels if you wanted to watch tv- we hardly spent any time there so didn’t use really. Only slight negative was our room was really warm and although we turned on the air con it didn’t appear to cool the room, staying at a very ambient 27 degrees- awesome on those chilly nights I’m sure but we were lucky to have lovely warm weather for February- 6th floor, did mean we could open balcony door if needed tho! Breakfast- we only had breakfast one day- but it was good and set us up for a day of doing touristy things.... Didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evenings as we ate out in centre of Rome- We did have a pizza from the bar menu which was tasty.... and the bar man was super efficient bringing drinks to the table for you... small area of seating in reception for drinks at the end of long day... So whilst this hotel is a little out of town, it easy to get too and from the centre of Rome via metro and taxi (taxi £6 ish from battistini metro station) you can also get a bus from there too- we didn’t bother as taxi so cheap... but was easy enough.... didn’t really wander around the neighbourhood but all seemed fine! But the hotel is tucked away so you need to keep this in mind.... Overall our stay was pleasant, would stay again if back in Rome as getting around is so simple using the metro and the hotel suited us as a base for stay- we were out a lot, but for somewhere to grab a drink at the end of the day and sleep it was ideal and very reasonably priced !

Nice hotel, food was fine, everyone nice, room clean, and it was large. I have n o gripes about the hotel, the staff, or anything else there. The only remark would be related to location. We walked a couple of blocks to the 146 bus, to the Battistini metro station (the end of the red line), and caught the red line into Rome center. Or, alternatively, there is another bus, about a block and a half away, where you get a transfer to another bus, taking you to the Flaminio stop, right across from the Piazza del Popolo. Bother require about 10-15 minutes walk to get to the bus. It is safe, and not a problem. The plus side of the location was that we could easily get around the outskirts of Rome (we had a car). This would have been impossible to do if staying within Rome center. And I would not have even tried to drive, in that case.

Dear, guest, thanks for your review we are happy that you enjoyed your stay in our hotel. About our location, we are certainly not in the center but still easily accessible, we always recommend Cornelia metro station and not Battistini. We hope to have you again as our guest as soon as possible. Best regards Antonio Iovane Front office manager Hotel Pineta Palace
