We stayed here for 2 nights in June and were very pleased. The location of the hotel was great! Safe & fun area...Closseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanshis Steps all in walking distance! Rooms were tiny but very clean and quite comfortable. Bathrooms were modern and also very nice. AC worked wonderfully!! Had to move around a bit in the room...

Our room was small but nicely updated. Location was great - a couple blocks from the Coliseum, and on a pretty quiet street. I guess the price is what you pay for a nice room in such a location. The window opened to the next building four feet away, so we heard and felt the heat from their air conditioners....

We stayed in the hotel for a long weekend in June and unfortunately it did not live up to the expectations set by the website and the previous reviews on Tripadvisor. The room in the annex was extremely small, even for a hotel in the centre of Rome, and it wasn't cleaned during the 5 day trip. The maids just...

For European standards the room is on the larger side though smallish for American standards. The beds are extremely comfortable, especially compared to other Italian beds. It was very clean and comfortable and an outstanding location for the historic center and ancient Rome. It's on a street with a lot of happening nightlife--with the double layer of windows closed, we...

Dear Guests, many thanks for the time you have spent to write a review about your stay at the Duca d'Alba Hotel. Thanks also for your comments regarding the area and our rich breakfast, we really appreciated them! Regarding the room size, in part you are right as most of the american hotels are located in new buildings with big...

This hotel was perfect for a nightly walk to view the Colosseum. It was also surrounded by great restaurants and a fun Irish pub across the street. Our room was very nice, spacious (for Rome) and had a small balcony/patio.

We stayed in the main building and paid a little more to not stay in the Annex. We ended up paying about $240/night for the room and felt is was a good value. Room was a decent size for Rome. Bathroom was small and sitting sideways on the toilet is not something I want to do all the time. Main...

Dear Guests, thanks for your review, as you have well pointed out the location of the Hotel is really super, just a walk away from the Colosseum and the Roman Forums and the Metro stop only 20 metres outside the hotel (it's only 1 stop to Termini Train Station). Regarding your comment on the 'scuffed walls' please write again and...

Our room was in the annex. Room and bathroom were small but clean. As the room is small, there is not a lot of storage/closet space. The room only has one armoire. Wifi was spotty at times. The Reception Desk was pleasant and friendly, as were the staff manning the complimentary breakfast station. Breakfast offerings were good (scrambled eggs, bacon,...

I stayed at the Duca D'Alba for 6 nights in June with my two children. Upon arrival I was disappointed when I saw the room- we were in the Annex, which is 2 doors away from the main hotel- basically like an apartment building. The room seemed quite dark, and faced into an internal courtyard of sorts- so our view...

This turned out to be a great little hotel in the heart of Rome. Walking distance from all the touristy parts around Colosseum, Spanish Stairs and Trevi Fountain. We walked from the Termini station to the hotel. It's doable but perhaps a bit on the long side. The hotel staff was really helpful and service-minded and the breakfast was good....

We recently stayed at the Hotel Duca D'Alba during our anniversary trip to Rome. The hotel was in a great location to the Metro and many scenic sights.
