Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

It was literally amazing to stay there. There was everything I could have ever asked for. I loved the room, the bed was quite comfortable and the lights were soft. I liked the view I had in the room, it was room facing the street, so it was nice. People were professionals. I

Centrally located and easy to find. The room was clean and comfortable. As soon as we arrived, the staff at the front desk was so kind, funny and helpful. Breakfast was actually very good so make sure you take advantage. Would absolutely stay here again.

In researching hotels, Hotel Artemide was number 2 on TripAdvisor, reasonable price and good location. Before arriving, I was a little worried that I was missing something and there was going to be a problem. Fortunately this hotel exceeded our expectations in all accounts.

We took a cab on a Monday morning at 7:45am for an 8:45am entry for a self-guided tour of St. Peter’s. For a tour starting at 10am, if it’s a weekday, I would allow an hour for the ride, finding where you need to be, etc. So arrange to leave around 9:00am.

Hello Norris. We walked it using google maps and stopped by all the sites we could on the way. So Trevi fountain etc. If you walk fast and don’t hang around each stop 1 hour did it for us. Plus early meant not too many people.

Not at all! You are able to request a 'quiet' room when you make your booking.

What is available for airport transportation?
The hotel will arrange limousine pickup from the airport for a fee. I suggest you contact them directly for a quote/ booking. We used the service from the hotel back to the airport and found the service efficient and friendly. John Gray
