Stayed here for three nights, half board and booked via British Airways. Our room was hot, no aircon out of season, as we faced the road we had to sleep with the window open. Large metal recycling containers at the side of the road, suggest that you take ear plugs. Breakfast was okay, the evening meal in the restaurant was...

3 family members (all adult) stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room was spacious, although quite sparcely furnished, clean and very fine for our needs. The shower was really powerful, much better than at home. It was on 2nd floor and the stairs were steep but there is a lift. It was hot but we opened the balcony...

We've just got back from spending 3 nights at this lovely hotel for our first time in Rome. Staff were nice and location was really good, we walked to most places from there, apart from the Vatican due to the time of our tickets, so a taxi cost us about 10 euros. Our room wasn't very big, but adequate for...

Room was really hot and small (we had french bedded room). Bathroom was clean but shower area was tight and narrow. Service was good but some staff had poor english skills and that makes communication difficult. Location was ok. Restaurant decent.

Great little Hotel in terms of location and the basics that it offers. The staff is very polite, approachable and helpful. (Not so much in the bar..). The rooms are a bit dated, but the sleep was comfortable and have all the necessities you would need. Make sure you bring iron as the Hotel don't have one..

As we were staying at one of their apartments decided to give the restuarant a go. the meal was OK but then we only had Pizzas. Great 4 star service from all the staff and very helpful. We couldn't have wanted for a better start to the break

Visited in March with my partner and son. Nice hotel about 20 mins walk to Spanish steps and trevi fountain. Room was basic but clean. Really need to get tea and coffee making facilities in rooms. Hotel stairways are narrow and quirky. Some areas could do with some work. Not a 4 star. But would stay again. City tax for...

I visited The Hotel Oxford with my family for a four night stay. We chose the hotel based on its four stars and the fact that it was a family run hotel rather than part of a big chain. We booked a superior room as we have a nine year old son. The room was clean but very basic. My...

My partner booked this hotel based on reviews and pictures plus the location as a present for Christmas. On arrival first impressions were good until we were shown our room. As we walked in it was dark, dingy and dated not to mention 4 single beds crammed into the room when we booked a double? It looked like something out...

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. It is quite basic like others have said but when you're in Rome you're not spending much time in the room. I anticipated it being closer to the centre but was a good 30 minute walk or you could walk 5 mins and grab a bus. Be prepared to do a lot...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
