We stayed for a long weekend, it was expensive but then city hotels are. The room was dated but clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. the breakfast was basic, there were better places just around the hotel for breakfast alternatives. Aside from the hotel the location was good if you are a foodie. It was away from the inner...

We wanted to visit Rome again and the Travel agent picked this hotel. It was small but good. Not real close to the ruins and sites of Rome but a long walk or a short Taxi ride. Service was very good and it had a great place to eat and drink at the Hotel. This was the start of a...

Me and my wife stayed here recently for 4 x nights as part of a deal booked through BA. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the lady behind reception who checked us in. She provided us with some handy hints and a map to aid us with exploring. The room was of a pretty...

Loved this hotel. Me and my fiance stayed here for four nights. Its very clean and tidy. A very small but very cute hotel. Staff were very friendly and spoke very good english. A friendly hotel well located for exploring Rome. The staff were very helpful and the room was a good size for the two of us. We liked the toilet and shower (very powerful). The bed was very comfortable and the slippers provided were a nice touch. Breakfast was Ok but a bit repetitive. The stairs to the room were very...

This Hotel is ideally situated for a great stay in Rome! Clean, nice rooms, adequate breakfast. After arriving at the airport we used the terrorvision bus to get to the centre of Rome then a few stops on the metro. (Terrorvision is very cheap although it can be a little chaotic). Just around the corner is the Hard Rock Cafe...

Having moved to Rome from Southern CA, in the Via Boncompagni area, we needed a hotel for 2 nights while our furniture arrived. We paid a little over 100 Euros per night. The first night we got a very large room on the 3rd floor and the 2nd night we had a smaller room. We had to switch rooms because...

Got to say that the service at the reception of Hotel Oxford was superb. The receptionists were all super friendly, spoke English and helped with any queries we had especially about the area during our 5 day stay. The Hotel is located quite near to Termini station, about a 10-15 minute walk away, so travelling within the city or even...

Overall the hotel is of a good standard, but around 3 rather than 4 stars. It is a clean hotel and the staff polite and helpful. Breakfast was good and enough variety for most tastes. Our room was small, needing some TLC with worn out dates decor and chipped walls. But, it was very clean and bed comfortable. I would...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
