Stayed here as part of a Contiki tour. Definitely a budget friendly hotel if you don't want to stay in a hostel. It's not exactly city center but not far from public transport. I flew into FCU and took the Leonardo Express into Termini Station. You could continue on the metro to the Flaminio stop and walk about 1.5 miles... More

Let's start off with the fact that I didn't chose this hotel as part of my stay here in Rome. My husband and I booked a contiki tour and this was part of the trip. Of all the hotels on the tour, this was by far the worst one. The man at reception (tall, big guy) was extremely rude to... More

This hotel in its hay day must of been lovely, but it it now tired and in need of some major redecoration. It is in a very good position for the train though which takes you straigh onto the metro, so it does have.something going for it, but in my opinion it's barely a three star at best and that... Stayed at this hotel as part of a contiki group. Location wasn't the best as it wasn't within central Rome however I heard there was a station nearby. Actual hotel is old but presented quite well. Rooms are basic but have a small tv and fridge. Bathroom is small and the shower is tiny 😦 some staff were friendly, some... More

the staff aren't nice at all, not sure if it's a cultural this but I would deem them as rude. the rooms themselves are okay, we split the double bed into two singles and the frames were stained with something brown. don't let them book you taxis, it took them 3 days to advise us there is a taxi rank... This hotel don't deserve the 4 stars. You don't have wifi in bedroom, in restaurant just in hall when you have it. We were three girls in a bedroom and we stayed two nights, they didn't change our towels. The food was not anything special, fish with horrible sauces... This hotel is far from the center. I don't recomend it.

I stayed at the Polo hotel with a larger group of friends on a trip to Rome. A third party organized the hotel we paid 130 euros per night for a double room. The hotel is located in a residential area, the connection into the city center is very poor – a cab costs about 10 euros during the day.... More

Overall, very dissatisfied. The heating didn't work, it was very cold in the rooms, the common rooms are dirty, our toilet leaked, receptionists were unfriendly. We forgot our keys in the room and they did not want to open the room for us. THEY WERE GOING TO LEAVE US OUTSIDE. Additionally, champu was never replenished, doors are very old. The... More

I stayed here after a contiki and my room was a shambles... The heating didn't work and when they fixed it water ran down behind the wall effecting the TV! The pipe under my bathroom sink burst and water went everywhere you could hear absolutely everything and it wasn't in a great location, even taking the metro it could take... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
