The Casa Howard- specifically the PINK ROOM - is not a spot for honeymooners or anyone that wants to relax. The Pink Room is on the other side of the "front desk" (phone, door buzzer, computer, lobby area). We arrived at the hotel at 2:00pm EXHAUSTED from our flight and were unable to sleep due to constant interruptions in the...

Stayed at the Capo Le Case location in the Chinese room. This was the smallest room we have ever seen and certainly not worth the money - we had literally to take turns to get out of bed. On the second day, there was no hot water in the hotel. Only after a great deal of argument did the hotel...

We stayed at the Casa Howard on Via Sistina in Rome. Our trip was in July 2006 - staying two nights in the American Cousin's room (fantastic!) and one in the Zebra room (very very good but a tad small). Both of these particular rooms have king-sized beds, cute and creative decor and nice towels, linens and soaps. The flat-screen...

We just returned from a stay in each of the Casa Howard locations. The trip started with us falling in love with Florence and the Florence Casa Howard. Then we moved on to Rome for our first 2 nights in the Capo Le Case location. Once pressing the call button from the street, we were buzzed in and immediately greeted...

Casa Howard, Via Sistina: To be honest, I was rather apprehensive abt stayin here after the unflattering reviews I had read. However, my Husband and I chose to press ahead since they had already helped us prebooked the visit & guided tour to Galleria Borghese and the Enjoy Rome Vatican Walking tour (by the way, we really enjoyed both and...

The best part about this charming little guest house is the the innkeeper, Edwardo! He was so very pleasant and helpful to us. We stayed in the American Cousin's room. The beds are advertised as King Size but be aware that European King size is a shorter version of the King size we are accustomed to in America. Also, the...

Having lived in Italy and stayed in Rome on a number of occassions, I'm pretty familiar with the general standard of Italian hotels... and by those standards we found Casa Howard Capo le Case distinctly AVERAGE for the price it charges. There are no amenities.. It's like a 4 room flat converted into a hotel with no comunal parts and...

Casa Howard, via Sistena, Rome is a delightfully charming personalised boutique hotel with an abundance of integrity, allure and elegance. With only a select number of guest rooms most with en-suite bathrooms and unique décor, it is a tranquil relaxing environment, in pleasant contrast to the hustle and bustle of the nearby Spanish steps. The hotel is well managed and...

I am not sure where to begin...Let me start with the positives. Obviously, the location is excellent. Use of the computer right outside our room also was quite nice. Other than that, everything else was down hill. To begin with, when we arrived, we were "greeted" by a huge pile of trash on the left hand side of the foyer....

I was more than disappointed in the Casa Howard on the Via Sistina in Rome. My Indian room was miniscule, dark and depressing, despite the bright yellow walls. The small frosted window in the bathroom opened to a brick wall. Many nights were stuffy and hot and there was no air conditioning. The promised 42 inch plasma screen was a...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
