We just wrote the hotel address to our google map and began searching the hotel. It was pointed on the map but we did not see and name plate or a sign around so we walked down the street. We asked once more and realized that already passed the hotel. We were just looking for a normal hotel entrance as...

Wonderful hotel, oozes charm and character. My partner and I spent a weekend there and the staff were extremely helpful and made our stay extra special. We were in a small, quiet room. The staff offered to upgrade us to a larger room but we were happy with the one we had - it was nice and quiet and there...

Me and my husband stayed here for 3 nights from 4/3. Before we even arrived the hotel staff were very helpful, always emailed me back regards some enquiries straight away. The reception staff are very helpful, especially Angelo. He is so nice, helpful and made our stay extra special. The rooms are clean, basic but thats what we expected from...

Very good location, 10 minutes from the main station and walking distance to all the attractions. Breakfast was good. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and very pleasant. Definitely would return if we visited Rome again. Excellent value for money.

Stayed last night back in our favourite family run hotel in Rome. Angelo and his team have a little gem on the Via Nationale...perfectly positioned for sightseeing, shopping, dining and less than 10minutes walk from Termini so ideally positioned for flights to Fiumicino. All questions are knowledgeably answered and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely fresh rolls, croissants, fruit, ham...

We stayed for 4 nights in this hidden gem at the very center of Rome. The room was super clean, silent and offered everything expected. Double beds and pillows were were comfy as well. Location was perfect as it was almost 100m from Reppublica metro station and so close to Termini as well. Actually other than our visit to Vatican,...

There is one word that describes out stay, the hotel and the service - it is the word EXCELLENT! We stayed in Apartment B. When we arrived we had to check in at the hotel - the hotel is difficult to see easily because it is on the second floor of a building with other businesses - it is literally...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
