We were in Rome to celebrate a very special birthday- thanks to Claudia and her team we had the most amaxing time. The room and bathroom we had was so lovely -(it eally was amazingly clean and spacious) . The bed was so brilliant - they have the Tempur mattresses and we slept the sleep of the dead. There is...

I stayed at Bamboo for 5 days in Aug and I have to say my stay was wonderful. Ac works great in rooms. Very clean rooms and main areas, they take proud keeping the B&B up to date. This is not a hotel, you feel as if you have your own apartment in Rome. Yes it is a little outside...

This was our fist visit. The pick up at the airport from Tim was awesome. Loved seeing his face after a long flight. Upon arrival to Bamboo, details of the area were limited. We felt a little lost without any concept of train, buses, walking routes, etc as no details were given, and Claudia was nowhere to be found. Essentially...

The Bamboo B&B was beautiful, with modern decorations and spacious rooms. Claudia and her staff are truly wonderful. We laughed with them and enjoyed their company immensely. Claudia was more than willing to let us use her laptop to send emails home, to buy train tickets or bus tickets and do whatever else we needed to do. She even assisted...

Quiet, clean and home feel renovation is found in Bamboo B&B. We stayed for 4 nights last week (July 11-15) at the Elephant Room. If you don’t mind a bit away from the City Centre, it is highly recommend. Easy access to Trastevere & Vatican by walk, and have a look & see the Italian residential surrounding along the way....

This B&B is within an apartment complex and it's on the top floor. Don't worry - there's a lift. The room is big and spacious. It is nicely decorated however the panda/bamboo theme didn't work for me. Central Rome is a bus-ride away so the location is good. A taxi from Roma Termini should cost 15-20 Euros. Breakfast is on...

Rome is a complex and complicated city. It has spots of calm and silence and incredible outbursts of noise and traffic. Bamboo B&B is a safe haven and a garden of peace. Located in a silent, residential area of Rome, near one of the biggest parks of the city, it's the ideal choice if you want to have the chance...

Let me start by saying you should purchase Rick Steve's book and read prior to going to Rome. He warned that Rome can be jarring and intense for first timers. This was especially true for me since I was travelling solo. Rome turned out to be my least favorite of all of the cities I visited in Italy. It's like...

Hello, good to hear you appreciated the gelato! We recognize Rome is a chaotic city but it's great to know you also found its upsides. Although it is true that since we are a B&B we don't have a concierge, you know we live right upstairs and are always willing to help, for taxi reservation and all other services.

Staying in Monteverde

Neighbourhood Profile
Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighbourhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centrepiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the centre to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.

Bamboo is not only a B&B, it is all a lifestyle. Bamboo means relaxation, cleanliness, hospitality and courtesy, luxury at affordable prices. Bamboo is a friend of nature as our mascot Puck. We are at the heart of the Eternal City without being in the chaos, in the heart of the old Monterverde district, near the Janiculum hill, Villa Pamphili, the baroque fountains and the marvels of the papal Rome. We are close to the city train station "Quattro Venti", 10 minutes from the Vatican, 5 minutes from Trastevere, the famous nightlife district of Rome and 15 minutes from the central train station where you can take any underground line to bring you to the Colosseum and other downtown destinations. Bamboo is convenient for those coming from the airport or those who must go to the hospitals of S. Camillo or Forlanini. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, all have a private bathroom and a terrace and are cleaned every day. The breakfast is served on the veranda or the terrace. We are happy to welcome you and provide you with all information to make your trip unforgettable.
