It's a pretty well-located (3-6 mins walk to either Metro station, with a supermarket and the tasty Fassi Gelateria all within 5 mins walk) and decent-sized double room compared to the 15-18m^2 standards around Rome's 3-star hotels. The hostess Raffaella and the staff in general are quite helpful and nice if you approach them for questions. However, my 2nd email...

You will feel really at home when staying at this apartment. First time arrived, we were greeted by Rafaella, who was very friendly. She ensured that we have everything we need. The setting and the feel of the accommodation were very homey so you will feel exactly like at home. A recommended place for a short/long stay while you are...

Stayed in Room 4 for 3 nights. Raphaella, Simona and Albert were great, cheerful and attentive. Simona even offered to walk my unwell partner to the pharmacy! Room was like new. Room was quiet, no street noise. 3-4minute walk to Manzini Metro. Handymart was next door, and open late.

Though it's a little "off center" from the main streets like Via Del Corso or the main shopping district around the Piazza di Spagna, what you get is this little gem of a place. Take Uber and you'll be fine. Area though it looks "sketchy" is actually very quiet and safe. Townhouse is right next to a convenience store. Staff...

We were a little bit hesitant to stay only after reading the "mushroom hotel" review but were happy to find nothing of the sort here. The place was immaculate, people friendly, good internet service, great shower, bed comfy and walking distance to sites and train to get to sites. The only thing that could use improvement is the breakfast. If...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
