We went to Rome for our Honeymoon and arrived to the hotel via a very rude cab driver who overcharged us. When we arrived, we were told the hotel was overbooked and that they would accomodate us at another equivalent hotel in the area for the first night. After some negotiation and an offer of free breakfast, we agreed. They...

This hotel was a great place to stay for our 8 days in Rome. It's clean, comfortable and the staff is quite accommodating. The rooms are small by American standards, but well maintained. The hotel is close to both the Termini train station, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and other areas of interest. There are several decent restaurants nearby that...

We love Gianni! He's the man. Piero was really great too. In fact, we enjoyed all the hotel staff. It's everything we needed to have a comfortable stay in Rome. The location of the hotel was pretty good, not too far from the metro stops. Yes, the room (and the shower) we had were small but it was very clean...

My background: -Frequent traveler -30 years old -4 or 5 star hotels -not overly picky, but do think price should equal quality -for a "classical" room $300+ us dollars was paid Upon arriving at the hotel, outside appeared average. No frills. No welcome rugs outside. No bellman. Fine. My husband and I proceeded through the door into the lobby(which smelled...

Dear guest, we are deeply sorry about your review, and for sure we can't recognize in what you wrote. Not considering all the funny remarks that you made on the elevator, the halloways, you are right about that there is something to come: we moved the Front Office in those days, and problably that gave you the impression of an...

This hotel is a little slice of luxury, my mate & I had a three night stay in a twin room, the service was excellent, the staff couldn't be more friendly or helpfull. The room was spacious and very clean and great to come back to after a full day of sightseeing. The hotel is not far from the Trevi...

I stayed at the Veneto Palace in June 2012 and it was a decent stay for the price. I would say the location was good, we walked to all sights including Colosseum and Vatican (although returned with sore feet!). It is close to the train station which worked well as we caught an early train to head to Florence for...

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights.Good location, comfortable to walk to city centre. Design is great. The linen and towels smelling of vinegar spoiled all the experience. The rooms on the 1 floor are small compared to the higher floors so ask for 5/6 floor. Now the hotel is under reconstruction, so it is noisy. The service was...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
