We really liked the location of this hotel from our last stay. We also felt safe in the neighborhood so we decided to stay again. It met all our needs. We had a small double bed room on the third floor overlooking the street which was nice to open the large door like windows to let the fresh air in....

The hotel is in a great position by the river. You can walk to most attractions easily. The room was comfy and overlooked the busy road outside but you couldn't hear the traffic. Breakfast was good, usual continental mix, cereal, toast, yoghurt, pastries. Staff were very friendly, helpful, concierge on the door gave helpful tips on visits. Would recommend for...

I booked this hotel off of one of the major internet travel sites, but it was far more than I expected. I love the location and the staff was incredibly friendly. I am already planning on staying here next year.

I give the Diplomatic 5 stars for fully meeting expectations. The location is about 20 minutes walk from the Vatican ( nice walk along the Tiber ) and appr 15 minutes walk from the Piazza Espagna. Several bus line stop outside. Taxi distance from Fiumicino Airport is about 35 minutes. The street is rather busy, traffic noise sometimes but sometimes...

This hotel is a very good option for tourists: it is near everything but, at the same time, in a quiet area, so at the end of a busy day in Rome, you can rest a little bit and visit some less crowded places for dinner. There are some good options nearby (around Piazza Cavour). The hotel is nice, a...

Restaurants were available within walking distance as well. The hotel staff were all helpful & eager to please. For me personally, this was my 2nd stay at this location, and will...

Great spot, midway between City and Vatican. 5mins walk over the bridge to city where Trevi, Colosseum, Pantheon and numerous eateries and bars await. Easy 15min walk along the river to Vatican City. Hotel is average, typical Italian style. Clean, great reception staff, food OK. Recommended for short stays.

We stayed here 7 years ago when we were in Rome and couldn't wait to return!! It was exactly as we remembered it! Not the most modern of hotels and certainly not very big but in a great location with nice clean rooms and a helpful staff! We look forward to visiting again in the future!!

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
