This hotel is lovingly maintained, has a helpful, professional, multi-lingual staff, and is two blocks from the main railroad station. Great shops, touring and fabulous restaurants all around it. The breakfast buffet was great, coffee exceptional and the bar is a welcome gathering place to catch your breath in the afternoon.

This hotel has a decent location near the train station and shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance. Very large lobby with a small bar and restaurant. I only ate breakfast in the restaurant which was good if you like pastries and a continental type breakfast. Scrambled eggs and bacon were offered but the eggs were runny and the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
