This was our 2nd trip to Italy and this time we wanted to begin our trip in Rome. We spent the first two nights in Rome and we were THRILLED to find this place. I was walking distance to every place we wanted to see. The staff was more than helpful in getting our bearings straight. Rooms were very clean...

I was really looking forward to staying here as it is apart of the small luxury hotels of the world. It is an old world hotel with all the classic traditional trimmings which reminded me of living in a different century. Check in was great and accommodating, concierge was helpful although after a 5 EURO tip he forgot to report...

We went for honeymoon and everything was totally amazing. The historic ambiance of the hotel was perfect. (we specially wanted a hotel which still keeps its historic atmosphere and Splendide is probably the best of Rome about it) The rooms were great and really clean, breakfasts were delicious and the breakfast menu was very good. The location is also very...

This is a lovely, charming hotel with a great location! The hotel is just a couple of blocks from the top of the Spanish Steps & the Via Veneto. Very easy to walk to the main shopping areas or to the Trevi Fountain. The hotel staff is lovely & accommodating. The rooms are beautiful. You feel like you are staying...

My son and I stayed 8 days at this Charming hotel in area close to many main tourist sites, also many shops and restaurants. Beautiful decor, beautifully decorated for the holidays. Room on the smaller side with desk, lounge chair but adequate for 2 with large luggage. Entryway has closet and room to put luggage. Our room had a terrace...

I gave this hotel 3 stars because in some ways it is very good. I think it is just not the kind of hotel I enjoy. You enter into a very classic, elegant lobby. The front desk staff were efficient but I won't say that they had much personality. Location is very good, close to Via Veneto which is a...

in an excellent, quiet location near to all touristic places. We can recommend it without any restrictions. Special highlight is the Roof garden with bar and the excellent restaurant Mirabelle; an unforgettable panoramic view over the city Rome.

While we did not have a balcony suite we did have a suite, which was marvelous. The location of the hotel is perfect for all trips within Rome. Walking everywhere in the mornings and coming back to relax in the room to take on the afternoon was perfect for us. Rome is 7 hills, so you're always walking up or...

The exterior of the hotel is not very exciting, but once you enter, it is beautiful and very elegant. All the staff, from the uniformed Doormen in their Top Hats and flowing capes, to the reception staff and all the waiters are so exceptionally polite and keen to offer every assistance. The service throughout is exemplary. Hotel is situated a...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
