I booked this hotel for my parents as a present for their 40th wedding anniversary. They had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it. They were picked up from the airport in a Mercedes (very kindly and professionally organised by Ivan on the concierge desk, for an additional charge) and were told about Rome and all it's sights on...

If you're looking for a hotel, you don't need to look any further, this hotel has it all. The location is PERFECT, only a couple of minutes to walk to the Spanish Steps. The view was PERFECT, the hotel overlooks the park, and the Spanish Steps, then the Vatican, it was PERFECT. The rooms very nicely decorated and clean, and...

We Loved our stay at the Splendide. We were in a perfect location to Piazza Spagna, Trevi, Piazza Navona-The rooms were very comfortable, beautiful peaceful views to come back to after big days of walking and soaking everything in. The beds had soft linen sheets, which we loved. The front desk to housekeeping and the door man-everyone was helpful and...

this hotel was an oasis in the busy city of Roma, it's a magnificent start of the day by having our breakfast on the roof looking over the city of Rome, after that you can just walk towards all the beautiful places you can see in Rome. If we'll come back to Roma we'll most likely stay her again.

The hotel lived up to its advert. The room was comfortable and spacious with little touches of luxury - especially the bathroom! It was quiet yet very close to all the sites and amenities. The reception staff were friendly and helpful although there could have been a little more info on some of the tourist sites, especially which ones needed...

We have staid in this nice hotel in February. We have find it through the internet. The hotel is situated in a quite zone, however near the main sightseeing and the city center ( Just 10 minutes walking from the Spanish steps and 5 minutes from the Via Veneto). We returned last week from this wonderful hotel and just can not wait to return. I may be a creature of habit but when I find a place that has it all, why go anywhere else? The hotel itself was simple beautiful. The view from our room was wonderful both day and night. From the moment we got there the...

Have stayed at the Splendide a few times, and generally quite liked it. The rooms are very nice, particularly the junior suites with terraces overlooking the Borghese Gardens. However like some of the previous reviewers I found some of the staff on reception rude and unhelpful (although some, to be fair, are brilliant). For our last stay I emailed the...

We booked this hotel for our final night of 10days NewYear trip and we were just delighted with the property! Had prepaid a superior room and on the arrival the friendly staff - Ivan and Anastasia -offered us 3 rooms to choose, including also a deluxe room and a gorgeous inner suite. The interior of rooms as well as common...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
