Our first trip to Rome. We found this hotel more than adequate. We were allocated a balcony suite on the second floor overlooking the car park and road. The road is busy but following a busy day exploring we slept well even with the doors and window open. Room was clean and spacious and a comfortable large bed. Breakfast lots...

As it was my wife's birthday I decided to book a city break in Rome through Jet 2 and looking on line the hotel Cilicia seemed to be a good choice. First impressions was not good, being right next to a very busy dual carriageway but once inside my initial fears soon disappeared a very quaint reception area and a...

I stayed here recently (1st - 4th Oct 2015) and was a little worried as always after reading some of the reviews, but it wasn't all that bad. It was clean and tidy and the room was sufficient. Okay it wasn't 'grand' in anyway, but I didn't pay for grand. The rooms were not massive, but everything you need was...

General remarks: -most (but not all!) Staff in region of Rome/amalfi coast/... is not that polite. Sometimes you have the idea that they don't like tourists. - breakfast in Italy is mostly (not aleays!) limited to some sweet cakes and some bread. Don't expect much variation. As we had a rental car,one of the reasons we had booked this hotel,...

This was a distance from the centre of Rome but all in all it was a lovely hotel. For a three star the room was above average. The wi-fi was acceptable (could be better) and the reception was lovely. There was nothing wrong with the breakfast either even if it was as quiet as a morgue in the breakfast room!

This is a good value option when visiting Rome. It is a little out of the way but close to public transport. The Colosseum is approx 40 mins walk and quite a pleasant route with places to stop for a coffee. Room was comfortable and kept clean. Air conditioning and free wifi were good. Good choice for the buffet breakfast...

We stayed three nights at the Cilicia and were more than happy with the room and the way we were treated. Our first floor room was actually at street level and next to a main road. We were surprised that there was little to no road noise. The room was a good size and bathroom facilities adequate. Breakfast was good...

I'm only giving Hotel Cilicia a 2/5, because of the continental breakfast, as there is a lot of choice, otherwise I would only have given them a 1/5 or even 0/5 if there was that choice. There is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room; the shower is tiny, the shower sliding door is not easy to open and close;...

I stayed at Cilicia Hotel for four nights with a friend and it was just what we where hoping it would have been and even surprisingly cozy! The room was always very clean, there is free wifi, the fridge is always being checked (filled up if needed) and it was nice that we always found the air conditioning on when...
