First visit to Rome and booked through thomas cook city breaks. Hotel perfect. Ideally situated once we got our bearings. Room clean, comfortable bed and bathroom spotless, nice powerful shower, plenty of hot water. Mini fridge in room which was replenished daily with Pepsi, water, crisps, biscuits, free of charge. Breakfast continental but there was fresh scrambled eggs, lots of breads, fresh fruit, enough to keep you going for...

Reception is welcoming and efficient, rooms are clean and have everything you need. Breakfast is fantastic with a large selection and the rooftop garden an excellent location to eat in the sunshine. The staff are all friendly and make our stay a pleasure.. would book again whenever visiting Rome.

Clean functional rooms with complimentary minibar which was great after the long flight. Breakfast was great and can be enjoyed with spectacular views of the city from the rooftop terrace. Staff are friendly and accomodating.

Very lovely hotel, very friendly staff and really great breakfast. Its close to a lot of restaurants and one in particular, the Cafe Washington, just in the corner. Would come back for the service and location.

My husband and I were traveling around Italy for our honeymoon and asked our travel agent to book us middle-of-the-road hotels -- nothing too fancy but nothing gross. It needed to be clean, well kept and most importantly, in a convenient location. That's really all we asked for -- and Hotel Diana definitely delivered. Our hotel room was in a...

The location is great but the single accommodation was extremely bad the fridge was as good if you like things warm , the air conditioner needs special starting technique. the tv set was not very good . The actual room had been added to an existing hallway , bedroom about 13ft long by 11ft wide the bathroom I had to...

Dear Sir, we regret if you felt any inconvenience, but the tones of your review are truly exagerated, especially in the last part when you blame the staff as "liers". Have you ever think about the fact that probably we were fully booked the first night of your stay, when you asked for the room change, when some rooms have...

I stayed here for a business trip and this hotel was recommended to me as if was close to the meeting venue. But when I got to the room it looked and felt a bit tatty. The beds were comfy enough but the plug sockets were loose on the walls, instead of a proper duvet it was a blanket, and...

This hotel is close to the train, metro and bus stations amidst a plethora of reasonably priced restaurants. It was too cold to breakfast on the roof in Feb but the skyline views were a bonus. Dining on the roof in the summer months would be recommended. Our rooms were adequate and the staff very pleasant. We didn't dine in but...

Positive points 1. Hotel was close to the major station - termini. However if you have luggage you will have to drag it yourself. It will take you less than 10 mins walk 2. Hotel was clean 3. Even though the hotel seemed a bit old it was cosy. We did not use the terrace as displayed in many of...

Just returned from a trip to Rome and found this hotel situated in an ideal location. Very clean and comfortable. Good selection of breakfast and staff helpful all that was required for a city break. You will experience some street noise however we expected that in a city. The hotel is currently being renovated but this did not interfere in...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
