Firstly it's very easy to walk to from Station Termini to the hotel. The actual road is not the greatest but the entrance and reception area are very clean. The lift is slow but in part that's due to people pressing the wrong button or walking away before the lift arrives. This means you stop at practically every floor. The... More

Dear Peter, thanks for all your nice words, and apologize for any misunderstanding. We just wished to point out that the 6 euro to be paid at the check out is the Council Tax for the city of Rome, the same city tax that you should pay in all the main cities of the world. Basing on your review it... More

We stayed at this hotel in September for one night only. The room we stayed in has not been refurbished in a very long time and the bathroom is extremely dated. The second bedroom was not made up and no curtains on any windows just sheer curtains. We were right on the alleyway and when the restaurant finished all we... More

I really wanted to try and give this location a "Very good" instead of "Excellent" but it just wasn't possible. I will mention some of the negatives but overall, the hotel worked very well for us so how else to rate it. Our arrival was a bit off putting because we stood at the registration desk and two people were... More

Lovely spacious clean rooms with free fast WiFi. Stayed here for one night. The hotel is located one street down from Termi and surrounded with good transport links and places to eat. The hotel benefits from a lovely roof top gardens where breakfast can be taken (weather permitting obviously). Breakfast was good with a wider variety of choice.

Stayed at several Hotels in rome for two weeks. The two ladies at the front desk come across as if they were doing us a favor by checking us in. Room service was horrible! No customer service was evident. The roof top cafe was below standard at best, nothing to really brag about. The most exciting thing about our stay... More

Dear mb5181970(???), your review is so general and poor of arguments that we cannot really understand what was wrong during your stay. We respect your opinion, but we let the others rewiers replying to you about the "1 star at best" and the "roof top cafe was below standard at best nothing to really brag about". Best Regards More

Hotel amenities were all very good but unfortunately in a rather tatty looking area of the city. Only a block away from the train and bus terminal so great for access to the airport. The staff were pleasant and breakfast suitable for all tastes.

Great location to walk to points of interest. Also for train station which is a five minute walk away. This is the second time we have stayed here. Staff really friendly and helpful. Since we were there last, they have installed a new elevator which is great. We had a room with a balcony both times we have stayed there... More

The hotel itself is nicely located only short walks from several points of interest. It's a great place from which to get to know the city's main sights. The train station is quite close (whether or not it's in walking distance depends mainly on your luggage). The rooms are a bit old fashioned, but I had a good time there,... More

Really nice hotel, immediate area not as nice as it should be but being close to a main line train station, to be expected. Walk a few hundred yards and you will find great little restaurants. Handy for hop on hop off bus terminal. The actual hotel has everything you would want, spacious rooms for a city centre, reasonable breakfasts,... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
