The staff did everything they could to make our stay great! The room was extremely clean and the décor is beautiful. The breakfast was just ok. Great location. We were on the third floor in a family room. It was a nice size. There is a small elevator, but the kids had fun using it.

I first stayed at, and reviewed, Residenza Cellini a few years ago. I gave it an excellent review at that time.In the last few years I didn't stay there, for a variety of reasons, but now I was able to go back and found it as lovely and welcoming as it was before. The location, close to the train station,...

After completing two recent stays at residenza Cellini near Roma termini (10 minutes walk) we cannot speak highly enough of the hotel and its staff. After some issues with our credit card ( our fault not theirs) prior to arriving we were offered an upgrade and bottle of wine as recompense which was very kind. The hotel is secure with...

This hotel was pretty good. It is easy to get to from the train station and close to the Republic subway stop. The room was quiet and clean. The woman at the front desk was very friendly, and held our bags on the day of departure so we could explore the city before taking a train out. The hotel was...

The hotel was friendly and accommodating in every way possible. They gave us a map and drew in details so that we wouldn't get lost. The breakfasts were wonderful, and it was well worth our time to eat in comfort before starting our day. The highlight was undoubtedly our little party in the roof top garden on our last night...

Pros: As many reviewers have pointed out, Residenza Cellini is very nicely located near Republic place, Republic subway, and very close to the main Train station and near many food stores and restaurants. Our room was on the third floor, with two comfortable twin beds, with a large window on the inside court, very quiet, not too small, with updated...

This small hotel on the 3rd and 5th floors of a building near Republica Metro stop was an excellent choice for our small group of friends traveling together. The staff was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly; the rooms well-decorated and pristinely clean, and the location was convenient to all the major places we wanted to see. We could walk to the...

The first thing I will say is that the hotel staff are some of the nicest folks I've dealt with at a hotel. Extremely friendly and accommodating. Since most of the attractions in Rome are a bit spread out, I'm not sure there is a perfect location anywhere, but the location here is very suitable. It is not a 5...

We booked this hotel based on reviews on Trip Advisor and from Rick Steve's Rome Guidebook. Mention the Rick Steve review and receive a significant discount if you pay for room upon leaving in cash. Our stay was September 27-30, 2016. We had one of the Junior Suites on the 5th floor. This was probably the largest and nicest room...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
