The title sums it up - From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special. Gerard in particular made our stay, with his recommendations of restaurants (Gusto past the Spanish steps and La Locanda di Bacco just down the road) places to people watch (Campo die Flori) and nightlife (Trastevere). An easy walk down hill to Treve fountain... More

A 3 Night Stay at this great wee hotel. Fairly quiet location, and only a relatively short walk (20mins+) to main attractions, if the weather's good and you don't need to use public transport. Just a buffet breakfast in the mornings which is all that's really necessary before hitting the road. Small bar facility late evening if you so fancy.... More

My family and I travelled to Rome for the first time recently. We were very happy with our stay at the Baileys Hotel in Rome. The rooms were spacious. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is located on a quiet street that is away from the noise and crowds of the tourist hotspots in Rome, but it... More

A great base to visit Rome. A small hotel situated on the quiet via Flavia, only 5 minutes walk from the metro where you can reach all the main tourist spots within minutes. The baileys is only a small hotel and the rooms are quite small (we had a superior room too), it is clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was... More

We stayed here in a large family group taking over three rooms/suites. From the moment we arrived until we were personally seen away by the manager, we had a brilliant stay. The hotel is clean and comfortable with decadent furnishings (chandeliers, marble etc) and we were all very happy with our rooms. On arrival we were told we were being... More

Ideal base to explore this fantastic city. Buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. I thought was great but if you want a English fry up you wont find it here! we used a hop on and off tour bus on a 24hr pass that was ideal to see major sights and to explore where we wanted at leisure.

Bailey's Hotel by American (Seattle, WA) standards was very good. By way of comparison, we frequently stay at the Westin and Marriott Hotels. My daughter and I walked in after having travelled for 15 days, looking pretty tired and scruffy during the hottest time of the year (August 2013) but staff were professional and welcoming nonetheless. Slightly smaller rooms than... More

Stayed at Baileys for 4 nights in June and loved it. Had been to Rome before but wanted an affordable hotel that was in central Rome instead of having to rely on taxi's and courtesy buses. It's a small hotel down a quiet side street with some great restaurants close by. Had a lovely large room and have to say... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
