this hotel was all modern everywhere. Hotel has been updated everywhere. We liked our room, except for the stench that was coming out of the shower drain. OMG. That was some funky stink. We couldn't even sleep. The stench filled the hallways. I went down to complain 3x, all they did was send the maid up and she pour something...

We booked our honeymoon last minute so the hotels we wanted were all full. Though not my first choice for a romantic hotel, staying at Smooth Hotel Rome Termini was a smart decision and exceeded my standard expectations. First they surprised us with a lovely welcome letter, extra towel swans, and complimentary bottle of delicious cuvée in the mini fridge....

My fiance and I were in Rome a couple of weeks ago and our travel agent booked us at this hotel. Since neither my fiance or I had ever been to Rome, I was grateful for her recommendation. We were very pleased with the accommodations (though I would recommend getting a room away from the main street) and the free...

This hotel is very nice and cozy. The rooms are very clean and the service is great. They prepared takeaway breakfast as I couldnt eat it in the restaurant because I had to fly back home. The outside area is very nice.

Arrived back yesterday from staying at the Smooth Hotel Rome Termini over the weekend and what a lovely place! Staff are very friendly, hotel is very clean and modern, short taxi journey from main sights and overall the hotel is excellent. Good breakfast selection including fruit, bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese, bread, rolls, yogurts and a selection of drinks. We also...

The hotel is located about 5 min from Castro Pretorio metro station, which was quite convenient. The room was clean and modern. The window was not working very well, so couldn't be closed completely. However, it was warm outside, so this was not an issue. The staff was nice and polite. The only downside was the breakfast that I believe...

Staying here was quite a treat, with all kinds of restaurants grocery stores and laundry facility minutes away, 10 mins to Metro, and walking distance to everything in Rome (1/2hr walk to Vatican, do not walk mid day ) .. Some great deals on meals being just outside of the touristy area's where they don't charge a kings ransom to...

Booked through click and go, a bit disappointed with out room as photos were misleading. We were a group of 4 adults and a teenager, the photos on click and go looked very spacious, and showed 2 separate sections in the room, whereas I was all very tight in one room. Gave us a good laugh thought. We didn't spend...

Loved the modern fit-out at the Smooth Hotel Rome Termini. Everything is so clean and shiny and in great working order. Can be a little noisy in rooms overlooking the street - but that's Rome! The breakfast buffet is sensational and the staff (from reception to room cleaners to breakfast bar team) are all lovely.

Clean modern feel settled nicely and conveniently in the heart of Rome. Walking distance to Termini station. Great, friendly and hospitable staff. We were able to meet the owners who were available and welcoming. We will certainly book again when we return.

Thank Dan M

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
