We chose this hotel primarily because there was parking for our car. The staff were friendly and helpful when asked about anything. Breakfast was a little lacking and not much choice available. The carpet in the room was quite grubby and stained. Centrally located. The heating was way too hot, but this seems to be the way it is in...

Decently priced, decent breakfast (free), decent wifi (free), and a decent room in general. There's not a lot of places to eat nearby, but it's only about a 10 minute walk to the Vatican area or across the river, and there's plenty of places there. The staff was friendly, and overall I wouldn't say that I had any actual issues....

At about £90 for a nights accommodation, with free parking and breakfast, and in central Rome this hotel was good value and one cannot expect perfection but I will share our observations none-the-less. First, good location, just out of the tourist areas but a short walk to the Vatican as well. The area could be described as mostly residential so...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

We spent a few hours on the roof terrace on the last day but did not use the vending machines. I would be surprised if they are free. Enjoy your stay

Did not notice any smoking in the hotel, but there was a very, very strong odor of smoke in the rooms. At the very least, the wallpaper, and curtains have absorbed the smoke smell to the point that a complete renovation would be required to eliminate it. We enjoyed the hotel otherwise, but if you have a strong allergy, I would book elsewhere.
