Great location. AC was not working but nobody told us. We were facing the road so noise all night long. The pillows literally had lumps in them. Dramatic lounge but nobody was ever in it. Poor bar area and generally poor service. Not worth the money when there is so much choice.

The location of this hotel was perfect! We were able to walk almost everywhere, it really felt that we could have not stayed in a better location. The bedroom was very big and spacious, but very OLD - not classic. Wifi worked terribly, (we had to stand next to the bedroom entrance for it to work a bit). I think...

This is a five star hotel and a grand old thing even if her hallways are a bit tatty. I stayed there one week and loved it. Pros: Excellent staff, professional and devoted to providing personal attentive service. The common areas are grand, old and beautiful. The location is perfect-within walking distance of a zilliion good restaurants, luxury shopping, The...

We flew in to Rome and stayed 3 nights at the Grand Central Plaza. This hotel is an attraction in its own right being built in the 1880s (I think - google it if you like) and still looking good while maintaining its heritage. The rooms have been modernised but retain the look and feel of the 1930's. Service at...

What a dump. Really is a 3 star hotel that is overpriced. Location is a saving factor but it's not sufficient. Breakfast was a disgrace, we had to make our own table, there was no food for extended periods, the staff attitude was famously Italian (didn't care), no plates or glasses (we got them ourselves) etc. Some rooms are large...

I was at this hotel for 3 nights at a small business conference. I did not book. The Company did a block booking. On reading the previous reviews I was not at all hopeful. But I was very pleasantly surprised. First night in room 221 just ok but to the front and a bit noisy. No shampoo or shower gel...

Very well situated and helpful staff.A rather grand old style hotel. We had a great double room with our 2 teenage sons aged 15 &16. Would definitely go back next time in Rome. area can be noisy in the evening so higher rooms are better.

I do not understand how this can be a five star Hotel. The quality of the beds is a disaster. The hotel was 20 years ago certainly a class of it own but now only renovation is needed. But if you want to catch the feeling how it was in the 80's this is a secure choice since the rooms...

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in. It's recently renovated and quite large. The details are amazing. My only reservation is that it is difficult to drop off your luggage if you have a rental car. The area streets are open to pedestrians and limited traffic. Also valet is 62 euros per night, but they...

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina.
