This is the best hotel in Rome as far as I am concerned. The staff and location are perfect. Alberto, the manager cannot do enough for you. Victoria is a gem who will do anything she can to make your stay perfect. Rosanna, the woman who is at the front desk in the evening is so friendly and welcoming. Dante,...

I stayed for a saturday night in the Hotel San Carlo. The room was small and basic, but clean and comfortable. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and helpful, but the real star quality of this hotel is its location. It's just minutes from the Spanish steps (and the metro), so you can use it as a base.

Fantastic hotel, very clean and traditional setting with very helpful staff and lovely owners. Breakfast is continental and varied. In terms of location it is perfect, literally 100 yards or so to Spanish steps in one direction and via del corso in the other. Rooms are spacious and warm with balcony type windows, bathroom and shower were immaculate. Only downside...

This is the perfect little hotel in the middle of Rome. It's close to everything. The staff was very friendly and inviting. They even gave great recommendations for local food to try. The accommodations are very comfortable.

This hotel couldn't be better situated. It's quite close to the Spanish Steps and all that decadent shopping. There are also numerous restaurants nearby. Ask the hotel staff for suggestions; I found a less touristy option and was quite happy. The hotel staff are attentive and patient. While I was very happy with my room and the tiny adjoining terrace...

The rooms were adequate but the terrace for breakfast was lovely. We also had wine there in the afternoon. The staff was very helpful especially printing boarding passes and arranging airport transportation. Great location. Lots of other restaurants and bars and shops nearby. And the Spanish steps and metro very close. I would recommend this hotel.
