Re Testa hotel is a very good hotel with big rooms, nicely designed and very clean. Service is also very helpful. It also very near to the Pyramide Metro station. The only negative point (and why I am not giving it five stars) is that the soundproofing from the adjacent rooms is not good at all. But all together it...

Looking for a nice place to stay in Rome? This is an option I would recommend for those of you who are in Rome for business or tourism and need a confortable yet not very expensive place to stay. It's modern, the personnel is helpful and friendly and the place is at a 10 minutes walk from the metro station...

Very spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The staff are very polite and welcoming. Had a great sized balcony with tables and chairs, the view wasnt great but for the price we paid it was everything we needed. The breakfast was the only let down. Definitely recommend. There is a train station 15 minutes walking and you...

Great little hotel. Large rooms with balcony. Towels changed every day. Staff were very friendly and helpful and were like unofficial tour guides. Place had a great atmosphere. Indoor market just below hotel where you could buy freshly made Italian delights. Ten minutes stroll to Pyramide Metro station which is only 2 stops from the Colosseum. Ten minutes in the...

Modern hotel within walking distance of the city, train station and metro. Very clean, quiet and comfortable room with a microwave and a fridge and a large outside sitting area. Helpful reception staff. No tea/coffee facilities but coffee/breakfast shop and the market round the corner from the hotel. Plenty of restaurants in the area or nearby Trastevere district.

I looked at a lot of hotels in Rome and most were outdated when small, kind of a private business enterprise. This one also doesn't belong to any chain of hotels and seems a private endevour of some sorts. It is very modern, in a good location and proved to be just right for us. We were on a cultural...

The hotel is located in Testaccio, just around the "colle dei cocci" and in front of Macro Testaccio. It is about 1km far from the metro B. My room was very large, with a balcony and a small kitchen too, due to the fact that the hotel also works as residence for long period. The personnel was kind and professional....

We spent 6 nights in this hotel, I was conferencing, my partner enjoyed exploring Rome. The hotel is simple not luxurious, but had everything we needed and was excellent value for money. It is near metro and train and there are many excellent places to eat within a short walk. It was clean, the reception staff were friendly and helpful,...

We stayed 4 nights. It was a good place. The metrostation Pyramide can be reached by foot so the location is just perfect. They even had a kitchen without any pots or fridge in my room. We didnt use it but nice to have. The room was kept very clean during our stay and the big balcony was definitely a...

I stayed at the Re Testa for nine nights with my son. I love this hotel. It is located in Testaccio, a much less touristy area of Rome, but close enough to everything and full of great restaurants. First of all, I want to thank the kind, patient, and helpful reception staff. They were always warm and eager to help...

Staying in Testaccio

Neighbourhood Profile
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighbourhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
