stayed here with my partner for 4 nights in the middle of August. Did not arrive to the hotel until around 12.30am but was still greeted by a lovely gentleman receptionist. Room was very clean along with the bathroom. Terrace was nice also. Upon the 2nd night of staying there was a fight just below our room outside which lasted...

Thought not in the center of Rome, this hotel is an excellent choice. You can take the metro and be in the center of Rome (consider a total travelling time of 20 minutes: 10 minutes walk to the metro station and 10 min in the metro to the city center). The facilities are incredibly modern and clean. I was not...

Good, clean hotel with large room. Comfortable bed, tv, great shower and shared balcony. The price was good as it included a continental breakfast, air conditioning and wifi. The only negative was the location. It was 30-40 min walk to the colosseum or 10 min walk to Pyramide metro stop. Not much to see or do in this area of Testaccio....

A small very modern hotel on top of the famous Testaccio Food Market. Clean, large (for Rome) rooms, with an option for a kitchen. Price excellent for the area. A bit of a sterile feeling, which I guess is OK if you're not going to be spending a lot of time there. The patio, on top of a roof, was...

Decent hotel near Roma center, only 2 metrostations from Termini (main metrostation). Good bus connections to Vatican/sightseeing. Friendly hotel workers and spacious rooms. Hotel rooms has balcony, big toilet/shower, big tv, freezer, mini kitchen. Breakfast is served nearby coffeeshop, including small glass of juice, coffee, croissant and toast. I think breakfast was weakest link at our experience. Also nearby few bars...

First, the positive before the negative: We love the Testaccio neighborhood and this hotel is well situated. Also, the people who work here could not be nicer or more helpful and it is in no way their fault that there is anything negative to report. There has been a change of ownership and things are being sorted out. At some...

The hotel was easy to find in a good area for visiting the Collisseum and taking the train (10-minute walk). The room was great, new and modern. Breakfast was nice and a great porch to sit on to eat. The only problem we had was, in reading reviews, I had requested a room on the back side of the hotel,...

Staying in Testaccio

Neighbourhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighbourhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
