I was pleased with Hotel Tre Stelle. The room was small but tidy, there was nothing wrong with the bathroom, everything worked perfectly! Though I found it a little bit hard to find the Hotel because of the small sign.. The breakfast wasn't great but I didn't expect it to be. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you want... More

Hi, I know you are not accountable for the actual hotels, but my family and I are just back from a nice trip to Rome, almost ruined by staying in this hotel. As I check the internet, I find many similar experiences. If you are able to, you should consider removing this hotel from your website. The room was dark,... More

Arrived for a three night break and left this morning. Our friends in an ajacent room wanted to leave immediately they saw their room - if only there was readily available accomodation elsewhere!. They left the next morning! Against my better judgement we soldiered on! Dark and dingy, miserable rooms, lacking reasonable hotel comforts such as decent towels, plug sockets... More

Four of us have just arrived back from a great weekend in Rome, , however it was not the accommodaition or its staff that made it such a great weekend!!! As we arrived at the hotel after 9pm we were accused of not coming even though i had emailed them the day b4 and they nearly gave our rooms away.... More

The hotel is within walking distance from Termini Station, however we had a little trouble finding it because of the large Hotel Dolomitti sign. We arrived straight from a flight from Australia at 9am and were greeted warmly and able to check in straight away. Our room was very small and dark and although I certainly wouldn't rave about it,... More

We booked through Universe Travel located in Toronto, and had the worst experience ever at this hotel. The room that we got was way below any standards. With iron beds that looked like they belong in the concentration camp & blankets that were old & had holes in them, the towels were in terrible condition. In addition to that the... More

We booked the Tre Stelle wanting a budget hotel that was close to the city centre...indeed this is what we got. The hotel is very close to Termini station which is convenient if arriving from Campiano airport on the Terrovision bus or if arriving by train. The hotel is part of a large building which actually contains other hotels such... More

We visited Rome in 2006 but weren't able to see all that we wanted to, mainly because we had booked a hotel near the airport rather than in town - MISTAKE! (You can see my review of Hotel Arcadia which I submitted in 2006). So this year I was determined to be in the city, and get as good a... More

This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my life! We rented 2 rooms for 3 nights from December 30, 2006 until January 1, 2007. In the room my wife and I were assigned it smelled like a sewer or rotting garbage. The towels were very dull, dirty and dingy looking and the shower stall was... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
