We spent 3 nights at the Dharma Hotel. It was a lovely clean hotel in a good location, many attractions were within walking distance. The hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, our only complaint was that the pillows were all so very hard, and the hotel did not have any softer ones so we...

A first rate hotel. We found it easily, arriving on the airport bus 4 hours earlier than our check in time however our room was ready so we were able to rest before setting off to explore. Hotel was very near to metro station but we prefer to walk on city visits. The rooms are very quirky but so comfortable...

Can fully recommend this hotel. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms furnished to a high standard. As our visit to Rome was for a special occasion we upgraded to a room with a hot tub and balcony, which was lovely and we felt priced reasonably Although the view is limited it was nice still nice to sit out there. Breakfast is next...

Hotel is very close to basically everything. Close to the train station and fairly centered in the city within about 15 minutes walking distance to many sights like the Trevi Fountain for example. Friendly staff. Very clean and nice room, we had a double bed plus a single bed for our daughter, the room was spacious and cozy. Breakfast was...

This is a very well located hotel, it's near Termini station which make easy to come and go by train to other destinations in Italy, if you want to use the Metro is also very easy from the hotel, however Rome is a nice city to walk around, most sightseeing are close to one another. Very much recomend it.

This was our second stay in Rome to end our Italy trip, our first stay was in the old section so Dharma Hotel's location offered a change of environment. The hotel is located near Rome Termini, which was perfect for us as we travelled from Naples on the train. The hotel was easy to locate, the reception is on the...

The Dharma is a sanctuary in Rome! It is located a short walk from the train station and near many of the famous attractions of Rome. The area feels safe at night and is also near some good shopping and restaurants. The less expensive rooms are small but very well appointed. The more you spend, the more luxurious the rooms...

Good location, very clean rooms and nice Italian design, but we found the room to be too small and not practical. The bathroom area was aesthetically appealing but difficult to use because of its design (toilets and sink were located behind a massive and heavy door that needed to be handled carefully). I guess the hotel has bigger and more...

This boutique hotel is just perfect for staying in Rome. We were upgraded and got the comfort room with shower. It was a tastefully decorated large room with comfortable bathroom. Very clean!!! the breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful. I will certainly will stay there again.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
