Stayed 3 nights. Easy to walk to from train station. Felt very safe and secure walking to and from the hotel everyday. Room furnishings are older and bathroom a tad dingy, but overall clean and everything worked. All the staff were helpful, with one young...More
Stayed on a tour at this hotel, then spent an additional nite outside the tour. This hotel showed its wear, but is clean. We had a small patio off our room that faced an internal courtyard(so no view). I found the staff to be helpful...More
We loved & enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location was great, their breakfast was delicious and in addition, the staff was warm, friendly and very accommodating. They made you feel like family and helped us with anything we needed. I'd recommend this to anyone...More
We have stayed at Hotel Aberdeen several times in the past as well as recommended it to family and friends who have stayed there as well. Over the years of our staying there, we did see some of the service and room conditions fade, but...More

The location was nice and close to the metro and Roma Termini station. Walking distance to most sights. Security was good. Some of the staff were excellent and others no so friendly. The interior was interesting with marble floors but our bathroom had considerable mildew.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
