This hotel has a very good location with a short walk to Foro Romano, Colosseum or Piazza Venezia. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms are very nice and also big. We have triple room and here we found only one negativ thing, third bed was sofabed and was really uncomfortable.

The Palazzo is a great place to stay. Quite and close to everything. Jewish Getto and Trastevere, definitely two place to visit for sightseeing and eating, are just around the corner. Ample and comfortable rooms and friendly and helpful staff. Definitely, a place to stay.

The staff was very helpful and forward leaning. The room was clean and well maintained. The location is perfect for seeing anything in Rome. A short walk to Foro Romano. Check out restaurants along Circus Massimo and along the Tibre.

This is a small hotel in the middle of EVERYTHING, 5 minutes bike from all ancient Rome, with nice accomodations, kitchen and everything. Breakfast is great. People is great and its just beside the place of the first "church" built for Romulus and Remus. wonderful stay

We have stayed twice in this lovely Palazzo in the Velabro. It has a very modern feel and modern furnishings. Our suite has 2 rooms including a kitchenette. The staff was very helpful. A small balcony had a view of neighboring grounds including gardens, L.Arco Giano, the Campidoglio and Palatine hill. The location is fantastic. You can walk up to...

All in all the hotel was OK. Although the room was very big, it was very old and not very clean; especially on the floor. The air conditioning was very noisy, but necessary to heat the room. Breakfast was sufficient. The location is absolutely great, just a few minutes to reach the very centre.

The location and staff hospitality was exceptional. Residence Palazzo Al Velabro was located on a very quite side street that provided a unique experience of being in the middle of the key tourist areas (walking distance to most sites), but not at all noisy. Out patio was overlooking the ruins and it was spectacular. The staff were friendly and helpful.

A good hotel, with a kind staff. They always tried to help us with our needs such as gluten free breakfast. The hotel is very close to the main attractions. The room is very large and warm. The kitchen has the main utensils we need.

Palazzo Velabro is nice, complete apartments, tucked into the historic "velabro" between the Forum and the Tiber. Several small restaurants are nearby, as well as a great family grocery. Walk a short way to the river, and cross to Trastevere. Nice little gym; lovely breakfast, and great staff to boot.

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
