Once again my partner and I stayed at Palazzo Al Velabro and again we have no complaints. The staff are always friendly and so helpful, and the booking process via phoning the hotel made the process easy . Room was of a high standard residential 2 rooms and all facilities in the room was clean and tidy and cleaners always...

We stayed at Palazzo al Velabro for 10 nights in September 2016 in a one-bedroom apartment with a balcony on the top floor. Palazzo al Velabro is very well located in the heart of ancient Rome and the view of Capitoline and Palatine Hills from our balcony was wonderful. We found the apartment very livable, with plenty of space, comfortable...

Fantastic location down from Piazza Venezia (The Wedding Cake monument toVictor Emanuel). Quick stroll to the forum and other ancient monuments! quiet and clean with a friendly and helpful staff. The location is safe and convenient to bus lines and shopping and sight seeing. The little kitchen was well equipped and the unit was spacious and comfortable. I was here...

Stayed here for five days , then returned after leaving on a trip for a few days . This hotel is ideally situated close to all major attractions including the collesium. All walking distance but close to buses if you prefer. The hotel itself has been tastefully renovated and serve a very comprehensive breakfast . Our first time in Rome...

We spent 5 nights here and really liked it for a number of reasons. First of all, it's right next to a historic church and arch and also within easy walking distance to all the key attractions in Rome. The Circus Maximus is very close, so is the Forum and Colliseum. The room we had was on the lower floor...

It definitely isn't the best hotel that I have stayed in! Quite outdated and needs a lot of TLC. However, the location is superb! So easy to walk into town or to the colosseum! The internet didn't work In our room and also when we flushed the toilet, there was a really loud noise which was a pain... And their...

We stayed for 3 nights, location was good, room spacious but quite dated and bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Breakfast was excellent, as were gym facilities. Didn't find staff overly helpful. Not a bad experience.

My husband and I stayed Palazzo Al Velabro in early September and we were so happy with our stay. The staff was so helpful and friendly! The rooms were clean and beautiful and our view was stunning! The breakfast was excellent, and the location was awesome! The one thing I would say that wasn't perfect was the beds. Unfortunately they...

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
