Whilst hotel doesn't compare to UK 4* it is very clean and comfortable. The hotel has everything you need for a short stay. Location is good for exploring the sites of rome. A nice restaurant is located next door. The airport drop off point is 1 minutes walk from the hotel. All the staff were extremely helpful and had excellent...

Nice hotel, small and modest, but doesn't leave bad impressions. Not very attractive neighbourhood, but location is convinient. Staff's friendly, breakfast's simple but satisfactory. Everything's clean. Only flaw I can remember is thin walls - you can hear sounds from nextdoor room's bath very clearly. And rooms are small, so if you are a 'big' person - think twice.

Yea I agree with other people that the rooms are very very small, but the location of the hotel is ideal in the sense that you will be in the center of the city and very near to historic place like colosseum, trvi fountain, etc. break fast is fair but what i like the most is the hospitality. I forgot...

The room was really small, we've never seen such a tiny room before. Though they tried to decorate it in old italian style with gold colour and mirrors:) Breakfast was moderate - flakes, coffee, some bread, cheese and salami. Location was good for us - close to Termni station and a 20 min walk distance from main sightseengs. But the...

I think it is not a 4* hotel as it is positioned (except maybe the interior) but we spent quite a good time there. Unfortunately, not all the staff speak english. :(

Eight of stayed there for two nights in late october. Good clean rooms with aircon. Good breakfast facilities. Right next to Terminus so great for metro,Tour buses and everything else. 100 yards from terravision coach drop off for Ciampino. Would and have recommended this hotel to friends. We stayed at the Hotel Luce from Sept 10th to Sept 14th 2006. The hotel is based on Via Magenta near to the Roma Termini so the area is not the prettiest in Rome but is fantastic to get to all the sites which I would highly recommend if you only have a few days in Rome. The reception area...

Hotel Luce is a good budget hotel with all the facilities that you would expect from a budget hotel. There were five of us and we took three rooms on the first floor. All the rooms were clean and of the size you would expect for a budget hotel. The bathroom was totally adequate and clean. Whilst the shower tray...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
