Yes many options,including one restaurant/bar attached to the hotel!We really enjoyed a place opposite the hotel which had an upstairs room-very authentic,cosy with great staff!Enjoy your trip 🙂

Yes there is a restaurant (maybe even two) right across the street from the hotel itself. And multiple others right around there. All are very traditional, family owned places. Enjoy rome, you will love it.

There is a local tourist tax, as you say set by the government but there was no other charge on my bill.
