Who would have thought that on the day of your arrival in Rome, your reservation on an accommodation will be canceled? Well this is one good example... We arrived at the accommodation past 12 MN (coming from plane ride from Zurich) and to our surprise the Filipina staff informed us that our reservation was canceled around 6 PM. She informed...

The hotel is small but comfortable enough. Rooms were very well cleaned every day and staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. The standard of some bathrooms was a bit run-down, but over-all we had a nice stay and we will be happy to come back. Every room had a working air condition, big TV and a computer. The hotel...

I had a reservation with a confirmation number at this hotel booked through budgetplaces.com. Upon arrival I was told that they did not receive our reservation, even though I showed him the confirmation. He said he would find a place for us, that would cost the same. Fortunately, he found a place on the next floor for us(Hotel Planet), which...

Let me start with saying the location is amazing, everything is close by. But the hotel it self needs help. The toilet was broken, the showers leaked, there were ants in the bathroom. If you're used to new covers for your beds, they don't change it. They just neaten it up. As for the reception do not expect anyone there...

It's a good value for money. Quiet place and all the staff are very helpful especially Lina. Rooms are provided with computer with wifi connection. Very handy! I think other guests are too negative about the hotel when they didn't realise how affordable they pay. You get what you pay for! If you want luxury and so much comfy go...

Small room for 4 of us, bunk bed not stable, can tilt and fall, bathroom dirty, broken shower door, breakfast is a small coffee or juice, and a small croissant, provided by a local coffee shop nearby with a mean service, only positive is closed to train station, we WILL NOT STAY here again if we come back to Rome.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
