Hotel Suisse was PERFECT for our group of 8 college girl friends for our stay in Rome. The location, hospitality, service and assistance was beyond measure. On the second floor of an office/residential building tucked away on via Gregoriana, it is not your typical hotel. Our group would meet after breakfast in a cozy sitting room to plan our day...

Very nice, reasonably priced hotel in a great location for visiting the sights. Rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable, although shower was quite small. A continental breakfast is served in your room. Staff was very nice and helpful. Only problem was getting WiFi.

I stayed here about 25 years ago and it is as good now as it was then. Lots of character, convenient, friendly, spotless and comfortable. For the price, could not have a better location - near the top of the Spanish Steps. If I return to Rome, will definitely want to stay there again.

Good place to explore Rome with hot shower (albeit small), clean and friendly and helpful staff. It's worth mentioning that the Wifi is very weak (so don't rely on it for more than checking emails at best). But overall a good experience.

I stayed here on a solo trip to Italy - stayed for 5 days. The hotel is right in the middle of everything - steps from the metro and any bus stop.Within walking distance to almost everything you want to see, but is tucked away and so quiet and tranquil. It was so nice after the hustle and bustle to...

The location of the hotel and staff courtesy was good. The hotel wifi on the other hand as others have mentioned - hard to connect to in the first place (despite 5 bars), brutally slow when connected. For planning a trip, stops and keeping in touch while on vacation this really isn't up to speed. A stronger warning about this...

Arrived late at night, checked out and left baggage there for a late flight home - No problem. Excellent service. Super clean good sized air-conditioned room (ours was the portable type). Always felt safe and comfortable. Breakfast in your room is the only option (which is great), but never took it because we wanted to hit the town early. The...

A couple of hundred yards from the Spanish Steps and metro, not much further to the Trevi Fountain and a short walk after that to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Hotel is comfortable and clean on third floor in a elegant building (not sure if there was a lift but we would have walked up the stairs anyway). Staff friendly...

This was just what we needed after several hours of busy streets and crowds. Quiet, lovely and easily accessible. The staff was very helpful with restaurant suggestions (Il Ciompini just down the street), information and cabs. Breakfast was a treat in our room before we ventured out each day. Being at the top of the Spanish Steps, it was very...

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina.
