Well this is our 3rd visit to this hotel, so that should tell you something to start with. The hotel is literally a 5 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain (spirit of full disclosure i'm 6'3" with long legs). I will say if you have mobility problems this is may not the hotel for you, the only thing you can...

After reading the comments in here andchecking the hotel website, i decided to book this hotel for my 3 night trip.. Apart from the perfect location and some of the extremely nice staff, theres nothing special and this hotel would deserve a max of 3 stars.. Worn out rooms that need immediate renovation, ultra slow lift, cheap breakfast consisting mainly...

My wife and I visiting from Canada enjoyed a 1 week stay here at this hotel and found it quite charming and unique. It was close to alot of sights including the spanish steps and trevi fountain all in walking distance. Lots of local cuisine, sights, shopping etc were close by and buses were available right outside for longer trips....

A travel agent booked this hotel for us so admittedly we hadn't looked into it much apart from looking at some photos on their website. The photos makes the decor of the hotel look antique and charming when in fact it's old and shabby. Our room was on the 3rd 'red' floor and was tiny - with two peoples' suitcases...

Hotel is clean and centrally located, staff helpful and professional. Some rooms have a balcony so it's ideal if you are a smoker. This is an unpretentious hotel with his old fashion style charm close to some of the major attractions of the city, overall very pleasant stay.

Nice concierge, clean rooms, calm hotel and close to everything. 5min to Trevi. 10min to Spagna. 30min walking to Termini. By tube 15min to Termini. Coliseum 20 min by tube. 30 min walk to Vatican. Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
