This hotel was conveniently located near the metro, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps. Take the metro to get to the Coliseum -- it was very easy to use. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our room was a double deluxe but small by American standards. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was very good and the...

My husband and I stayed here in a standard room. We really enjoyed our stay and thought that the property offered the following benefits: Location - most of the 'big ticket' sites are within walking distance of this hotel. For example, the Spanish Steps are only 5 - 10 minutes away. There is a wide range of quality restaurants in...

Just returned from a city break to Rome and stayed at the Stendhal Hotel for the 4 nights we were there. The first (and really great) thing about this hotel is that it is located right in the middle of the city. We walked to all the major attractions from the hotel and to different restaurants or pizzerias too. This...

the room was very very small even by Rome standard. Via Del Tritone is a busy street. But most disappointing was the room we got was smaller than the one they sold us through their deal. Don't get fooled by their deal. The breakfast was uninspired.

(1) The decoration and design of the hotel is excellent. It looks fresh, new, and a good blend of modern yet classic. Many complain of the small size of Rome hotels... I felt they made an excellent use of their space here. (2) The dress and demeanor of hotel staff was excellent throughout the stay--from the check-in people to the...

Service at the Hotel Stendhal was first rate. Friendly and available to help. Damiano on reception provided us with a great recommendation for dinner on our first night with genuine enthusiasm and delight (not just on the fact he probably made an extra euro or two from the restaurant on the side). The Hotel is small , rooms are small...

We stayed in the Stendhal for 3 nights (Aug 26th->Aug29th) and overall had a good experience, I would rate it 3.5 if I could but gave it 4 as it deserves better than a 3 :-) The hotel is very centrally located, close to the Metro A line stop in Piazza Barberini which is only a couple of stops from...

This was our very first time in Rome and this hotel was fabulous! From the time we arrived, everyone there was very friendly and helpful! It was really nice to have the bar in the evening to refresh ourselves from our daytime activities. We met some very lovely people that were also hotel patrons while having our evening cocktails. The...

We stayed at the Stendhal for 5 nights and had a very positive experience. The location was great -- 10 minute taxi ride from the train station (30 minutes from the airport), steps from the Barbarini Metro stop and a ten minute walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. We got the standard room which was teeny tiny, but...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
