I typically book hotels but I needed something cheap because my stay in Rome was very brief. I've only ever stayed in two hostels and I was very pleased with this one. I requested a private room and received a very clean room with towels and a king sized bed. The kitchen and bathrooms were also clean. Very reasonably priced.... More

Clean Room. Great location. Quick walk from Termini Station and close to the main sights. Difficult to find from the street. You need the exact address, no signage. No front desk, just a small office. The guy who checked us in gave us keys (one for gate, one for building, one for hallway, one for room) and showed us how... More

If a hotel is what you're looking for, this isn't it. Sergio House is more a shared B&B one might say, it is clean and decent with great wifi. The cleaners come and clean daily which is excellent. However, the main problems are the other guests. You can hardly get any sleep if guests are coming in and out at... More

1 minute walk to termini, 10 minutes to the colosseum. The (persian) guy who showed us around when we arrived and gave us the keys, was very kind. The beds were fine and we were glad we had airconditioning and a fan. Good stay, no complaints at all.

The room was good, thelocation ok, but we paid extra for the reservation because we wanted to pay there (not by internet) and when we arrived they had already charged us, we spoke to sergio and it was difficult to comunicate over the phone so we told him to meet us and he declined the idea, we ask them to... Near to station (3-4 minutes walk) and quite convenient for transport to any site in Rome. It looked quite safe during our stay. Good value for money. The bath room was too small. For the breakfast you need to go to another restaurant.

I was pleased with the hotel, nothing too special about the place except the value and location. Internet wasn't great, but who needs that when you're in the most beautiful city?! I think for more than a couple of days I would go elsewhere, but for a cheap short stay it's good enough. Remember to take cash as they do... More

This is a simple but functional place. Well located, very clean and with an honest price. The only issue we had was the internet connection that was not working. Apart from that, a very good solution to enjoy Rome and its beauty.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
