This is a simple but functional place. Well located, very clean and with an honest price. The only issue we had was the internet connection that was not working. Apart from that, a very good solution to enjoy Rome and its beauty.

Just a few minutes walk from Termini train station & airport bus stop. Sergio was waiting outside on our arrival. We were shown straight to our room with ensuite which was nicely decorated and very clean. There were also 2 other rooms which shared a bathroom and there is a small kitchen where breakfast is served. Sergio gave us a...

We had not originally reserved this hotel in Rome. But when we arrived at our reserved hotel, it was perfectly awful, and quickly scrambled to obtain another. We landed here and are glad we did. Rome is beautiful chaos. When we needed a rest from our touring, we easily returned to the peacefulness of this place. It is on a...

The hostel is quite basic and simple. The room is small but clean, they even changed our towels on the second day. The location is good - it is a couple of minutes from St Maria Maggiore and the Termini Station. The breakfast is included but it is just a cup of coffee and a brioche in the closest cafe....

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this B&B. The breakfast was NOTHING fancy... really nothing about the place was fancy. The location was great (near to the train station, near the metro, etc.) and it was inexpensive and clean. A nice choice if you just want the basics. Rome in the summer is ridiculously hot and the...

We were a group of 4 friends visiting Rome for 4 days from London and Dubai. We had booked 1 single and 1 triple room via booking.com through 2 different credit cards. On arriving at the airport, one of my friends received an email sent just a few hours before claiming our booking for the triple room has been cancelled...

Our flight was delayed and upon contacting Sergio, he said he would not allow us to stay in the B&B if we didn't get there within the hour - causing us to get a very expensive taxi from the airport to Termini. Not a great start to the holiday. Sergio was of no help whatsoever, and apart from giving us...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
