We used this hotel during our short break to Rome. It's location is perfect if you don't mind a short 30ish minute walk to the main area and offers a quiet atmosphere. The staff are polite l and spoke a little bit of English which you can't complain however Thomas that works there is absolutely bonkers and speaks no English...

To Start all the pictures on everything etc appears its a hotel. ITS NOT. Its a sign on a big building where you buzz in, get in a lift which 50% of the time doesn’t work and on the 3rd floor and without google maps you wouldn’t find. It’s a floor on a building and a sign outside the size...

So I flew into Fumincino airport for the first time aboard the orange carrier usually it's the blue one from Ciampino. I headed straight for the train station at the airport €14 into Termini. It was just about to leave and there was a queue at the ticket machine. So abit further along is the bus station €6. 2 stops...

+ Tomas: (the owner?) 😁 + clean, quiet room, lovely old building + basic breakfast, + close enought to the center + value for money - cleaners: don't speak/understand english, won't smile, are giving a very harsh appearance.

The guy at the reception, Tomas, was so much fun! Great jokes when we arrived. But that was about it, nothing else is special about this place. The room was quite clean, the breakfast was decent (basic toast, coffee, jam type of thing). Plus from the cappuccino that you could get if asked. I would not necessarily go there again,...

We stayed at this hotel for four days and had a very good experience of it. It was clean, looked and felt fresh. The hotel itself is rather hidden away, but gives a nice feel to it. Sadly the breakfast did not fall to our taste because it did have a lot of sweets and felt rather dull (bread, yoghurt,...

I was ready to give Hotel Ercoli an "avarage" score - the location/price is ok, but rooms are tiny and there isn't a lot of staff around most of the time. But today as I was checking out I was treated horribly by the old man in the front desk. I was already annoyed by the fact that he doesn't...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
