The hotel's interior and service don't match the neighborhood in which it is located. It will be very helpful if you first find it on Google maps street view. They have a small parking but somehow kept my car inside. My single room was big enough. And it was very clean. The hotel is not new but they are managing...

My partner and I went for a night in Rome and booked a room in this hotel through Booking.com. Online the place was very well presented, nice pictures and it looked like a great deal to sleep there with 61% off the full price which after discount was 71 euros!! Unfortunately, we had a an unpleasant surprice. We were welcomed...

As we walked with our suitcases (around 30 minutes) from Termini station, we did feel that the area was getting more and more suspect...the photos of the hotel made me think that the hotel would at least be in an area with other similar buildings, which wasn't really the case! Anyway, once we arrived and settled, things looked better. The...

We booked this hotel based on the great customer reviews and were not disappointed. When we arrived unfortunately our rooms could not be provided apparently due to a problem with air conditioning. However rooms were organised for us in a sister hotel and taxis paid to and from for the one night stay. Whilst the other hotel had a higher...

Stayed here for a week in June. Excellent service provided by all the staff. Our room was overlooking the front courtyard of the hotel. It was clean, bright & airy. the drink prices at the hotel are reasonable and I recommend the cocktails which were really well made. We took advantage of the roof terrace which was a nice place...

Room was clean, comfortable, spacious, nicely decorated. Very good continental breakfast. Good value! The staff were all friendly and professional. Antonio and Alessandro were particularly helpful. The hotel, for us, was in a good location. We wanted to be in a non-tourist part of Rome, but close enough to the main tourist sites. We ate at very good restaurants in...

Clean rooms price quality and a lot of service and nice cocktails. In a neighbourhood with a lot of nice restaurants where the Romans are dining. I think I will stay for a week. They have their parking and public transport at 100 meter right into the Vatican.

If you are visiting Rome, Villa San Lorenzo is a beautiful central hotel with some of the friendliest staff we have ever met. Central as the tram and bus service is right across the road or you could chose to walk to the colosium in just under 30 minutes. We did this and found some beautiful places on route. The...

My wife Cathy and I had the distinct pleasure of once again calling Villa San Lorenzo Maria Hotel our "Home away from Home" during our recent stay. After experiencing Antonio and his caring staff's hospitality on our first stay in Rome the year prior, we could not imaging staying anywhere else!!! Our second visit proved to be even better than...

I absolute love this hotel and the staff. Especially Antonio, Marco and Gianfranco. They were friendly, serviceminded and with humor. The hotel is romantic and so was my single room. I loked the breakfast and when ever you wanted anything to drink, day or night, it was served free of charge. The wifi worked fine and the area had a...

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
