If possible please try to stay elsewhere. The staff was polite but all 3 rooms our family had came with many, many negatives (see photos). I understand that this is not some fancy hotel, but something has got to be done about the conditions of the rooms. Following are some problems we experienced: air conditioning, wifi, tv. The issues were...

Of you want to visit Rome with low prices, this is where you should go: it's small and without bay privacy, but it's cheap. It isn't that dirty and furthermore this hotel is close to the metro and the taxi station (25 m).

I had booked more than a month ago and on reporting there for check in, was told that the hotel is overbooked. I had to stay in 3 different hotels during my visit, which was arranged by 'Hotel Viennese', but it cost a lot of inconvinience.

Who comes to us will understand that this gentleman did not sleep with us. We are inside a building and our rooms are extremely quiet.

My wife and I had a lovely holiday in Rome, also thanks to the kind staff of this hotel; they advised us about all the pros and cons of Rome, and they where really helpful. The rooms were nice and...

Just a few steps from the railway station. Surrounded by foooooooood and more fooooooood. Markets and motorcycles, scooters and pushbikes. Just sitting in the Sun and drinking great Wine, watching the World go by, on the pavement outside the tiniest of Bars.

My friends and I spent a week at Hotel Viennese, and we were very pleased with our experience. We were a total of five people, and at first glance the room appeared to be a bit crowded. However, it was very clean and tidy and provided amenities such as a mini fridge, AC, television, clean towels, a laptop, etc. Free...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
