Stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary. The room was a good size, very clean with private bathroom and a fridge. We stayed 6 nights and the room was cleaned each day. Lovely very helpful family who gave us lots of local knowledge and discount of local restaurants. Great tips on how to find our way around the attractions. 10...

We stayed here from the 1st to 6th September. The reception is on the second floor and our room was on the fourth floor. Luckily there was a lift, however it was tiny and old fashioned and would not be ideal for anyone who is claustrophobic. On arrival we were asked to pay Rome City Tax, which we were not...

Giuseppe, the owner of the property, is a delightful person who's always ready to help - as is his whole family. What's more, he whips up the best cappuccino in Rome - and I'm not even exaggerating. We found the size & furnishings of our bedroom pretty ample - and the room was kept clean and neat at all times,...

Gialel B&B is not the newest and/or most up to date place to stay but it was comfortable and located in a great location. The staff, and father and daughter duo, were extremely helpful and really nice. They arranged our transportation to and from the airport and helped us with questions about transportation and tours. My only issue was in...

Spacious, clean and comfortable b&b in a quiet neighbourhood, at the same time within walking distance of major tourist attractions. The staff are helpful and unobtrusive, breakfast at a nearby café – an excellent start to a Roman day. Excellent value for your money. Smokers beware: the place is serious about no smoking policy.

The B&B is two flats situated on the 2nd and 4th floors of the building. Our room was in the 4th floor flat and had a private bathroom. The space was roomy with a clean bathroom and excellent shower. The TV in the room was tiny but this wasn't an issue for us as we didn't plan on using it....

A very lovely bed and breakfast in a good location near center of Rome (we walked our whole trip to everywhere). The owners are almost out of an classic Italian movie. Very friendly and charming people. Their daughter speaks English very well and is helpful. The rooms are big, clean and with comfortable beds. No airconditioning, but the ceiling van...

This Bed & Breakfast (however we did not take the breakfast, since it is in a bar downstairs and not served inside the B&B itself), is located in a residential area in the center of Rome. 10 minutes walking distance from metro station Barberini, 15 minutes by foot from Termini, but there are a lot of buses passing by and...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Gialel is a family run Bed & Breakfast located in a late 1800 building only 100 meters away from Via Veneto, street made famous by Federico Fellini's "La Dolce Vita". You can easily reach the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain with a 10 minute walk and if you need to relax and escape from everyday life you should visit the beautiful Villa Borghese adjacent to our Bed & Breakfast, where the Borghese Gallery is located, which houses masterpieces by Titian, Raphael and Caravaggio. Once there don't miss the Pincio Balcony which provides a beautiful view of the whole city. The central area of Rome allows you access to shopping centers, attractions for children and entertainment options including famous pubs, clubs and restaurants. The closest metro station is located in Piazza Barberini only a few minutes away. ... more   less
