It's SUPER convenient to pretty much all of the tourist areas you may want to visit. A one or two minute walk to the metro, and less than 10...

This is like a well managed airbnb (to manage expectations) so expect to be bumping in to people you don't know and if you get landed with the 'red room' (we did), it's right next to the kitchen so again be expected to be woken up morning/night time...

The place is at 10 minutes to the heart of Rome and at 0 minutes to the hearts of guests! The attitude of our hosts made us feeling at home even before we reached their place. They facilitated very much not only our stay at their property but also our intentions to see interesting places

Very helpful and friendly hosts, full of tips and recommendations what to visit. In the hostel there is a shared kitchen and dining room where breakfast is served, you can also cook whatever you like. The location is good, metro station is close, the Colloseum is a 10 min walk away

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
